We're back!! We won the fight on later night Sunday services, only to have the Government cancel most weekend services due to lack of drivers. 9 months later nothing has changed.
Enough is enough. Time to take the fight back to the Government: WE WANT OUR WEEKEND BUSES BACK!!
@ContrarCanberra@MarkDando4 @_candiceburch Well since we are talking about Government not companies:
'Although the term "bankrupt" may be used referring to a government, sovereign states do not go bankrupt. ... Governments can be insolvent in terms of not having money to pay obligations when they are due.'
@MarkDando4@ContrarCanberra @_candiceburch Not for Government's / Nations, tend to be different rules then than for individuals. Also what about Twitter or Amazon or Uber, ran at massive losses in the hundreds of millions or billions for years on end, but those companies were considered solvent the entire time.
We have decided to hold off protesting at the moment while we see how quickly the Government implements these new promised changes, and see if they have the staffing numbers needed now or not. If the case is not, we stand by ready to make ourselves heard on this issue. #cbrpol
@_candiceburch @markparton@carolinelec We're back with a vengeance and keen to hold Barr and Steel to account on weekend buses. Look out for us protesting outside the Assembly again soon!

@markparton a) never washed mine to start with lol
b) you can't tell what it looks like from the inside
c) it doesn't matter if it's dirty if you catch a bus or the light rail hehe
@SimonCTT @markparton This ^^. Also low self esteem from mental health stuff and desire to avoid even eye contact with others let alone having to respond to strangers. Autism is one condition that comes to mind here, there are others.
@noplaceforsheep Your twitter rant overnight has inspired me to write a full length article & publish that in response, which I am doing. But it seems you don't want a debate, just to rant at everyone.
I liked your previous tweets but you are dead wrong about Ok Boomer. - Mordd
A special thanks to @TheBigSmokeAU for being the platform that published all 7 of our articles on the Sunday Buses issue, you guys are awesome and we really appreciate the support as we fought for change for Canberra buses!! โค๏ธโค๏ธ https://t.co/AOifQtKp0g
The campaign is over! 'How the bus was won: It took us a year, but Canberra has the timetable it deserves ~ After twelve months of not taking no for an answer, Canberra officially has a Sunday bus timetable befitting the city it now is.' #auspol#cbrpol https://t.co/XYFttKIqOj
