Our drones will be the first responders, reaching the scene before police teams and providing real-time tracking and recording of suspects from start to finish.
Dry-runs in all districts.
Alhamdolilah. Honoured to be the first elected female MNA returning to the National Assembly on a general seat from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In 1977 Begum Nasim Wali Khan was elected, however, she couldn't take oath. In 1988, Begum Nusrat Bhutto won from Chitral but she wasn't a resident of KP. @PTIofficial@PTIKPOfficial@PTIPeshawar
Legally speaking the PTI candidates have been issued a party ticket and they submitted the same with RO office so technically they are not independent candidates. Further, the PTI was not banned only the symbol was snatched by the ECP.
Defection clause is still applicable.
The people who cast the votes do not matter. The people who count the votes do. I appeal to all political forces to stand for their real rights and stop this dirty game of deep forces. #EnoughIsEnough
There is so much to be done. I am angry but brimming with hope & ideas. Pakistan can yet be a decent, inclusive society for all. A social democracy that chooses ordinary people to work for ordinary people. The people of NA128 like dozens others have been robbed. We shall resist.
Pakistan’s most consequential election since 1970 has huge political significance: 1) People still retain hope, faith & optimism in power of Vote to affect Change, which is good for democracy, as they came out voluntarily in droves to vote for Party of their choice, ensuring its victory; 2) Using adversity to advantage, a Party whose name was banned from ballot paper + guided by a leader from jail, won largest number of popular votes by successfully campaigning digitally on social media, as they were denied conventional campaigning; 3) for 3rd time in 50 years, Punjab, which has ‘make-or-break’ impact in the numbers game of electoral power, has changed hands politically, fundamentally altering the dynamics & direction of Pakistani politics!
Disturbing news about firing on Mohsin Dawar by security forces as RO's tried changing the final result. Violence was also used against members of Salman Akram Raja's campaign. Pakistan must prepare for a decisive fight back to defend our democracy & our freedom!
ADC sargodha, RO in NA 85 was threatened and harassed by the BOYS. Told them “Shoot me if you want it, I won’t sign” when they asked him to sign fake form 47. They kept him locked till they realised it was impossible to break him. Threatened him with suspension. He replies go on, that’ll be great. They transferred him and let him go after 2 days. I feel like we’ve a hero between us, he needs to be celebrated. More people should be posting about him. Also he looks kinda cool here let’s make him realise we celebrate what he did.
PTI backed candidate Salman Akram Raja told us he has evidence of major electoral fraud in his constituency
“Are you confident justice will be done?”
“One is always apprehensive of justice in this country but the extent of the injustice is so great that we will”
I am deeply troubled by reports of interference in this week's election in Pakistan. The legitimacy of any incoming government rests on fair elections, free of manipulation, intimidation, or fraud. The Pakistani people deserve nothing less than a transparent democratic process and true representative government.
I call on the State Department to refrain from recognizing the results until credible, independent investigations have been conducted into the numerous allegations of misconduct.
We recognise serious concerns over the fairness and lack of inclusivity of Pakistan’s elections.
Authorities must uphold fundamental human rights including free access to information and the rule of law.
I applaud all who voted.
