@MacLeodLisa The gas plants have not cost anywhere near $1 billion-- you know that that was a 20-year estimate. And eHealth has been an abomination, but that figure is money spent, not wasted (including nearly a billion by the PCs). And Eleanor Clitheroe? Please.
@sgauthi@NoLore Both NDP governments suffered through damaging recessions not of their own making. But in Ontario, the NDP led the G7 in growth in 1994 and the country in 1995. And Alberta's economy has been strong for the past 18 months. Why is the left so bad at defending its record?
@RobynUrback Perhaps Romanado came forward after Bezan was given a human rights award two days ago. Public praise for privately shitty men is commonplace, and she was right to speak out about it.
@adamjohnsonNYC I had a similar experience with my otherwise conservative grandfather--a certain socialist strain ran very deep in people not far removed from the great depression and its privations.
@reggcohn Why pretend the NDP was filibustering (your word) when it's not procedurally possible? The urgency was manufactured by a government that sat on its hands for five weeks.
@reggcohn The NDP are insisting on debating the back-to-work bill, not filibustering (as your column implies). The students will be back not a day later than Wynne suggested on Thursday.
