Consumer & trade campaign speaking out for responsible secondary ticketing. Fans deserve choice, transparency, flexibility and security when they buy tickets.
1/4 This is why our members & associates are the most trusted & reputable #ticket traders in the UK. 1) We do not use bots to acquire tickets 2) We do not use queue jumpers to jump queues 3) We do not sell tickets we do not already own 4) We do not list other people’s tickets…
The problem really is that all the artists and promoters use @TicketmasterUK . There’s is the monopoly. If they stopped then the whole fan buying experience would be better however they would all have to do it, and it is probably too enticing not to. Though what that tells us is that their monopoly needs breaking up and/or they need proper investigations into their non transparent practices and vertically integrated solutions by authorities such as @CMAgovUK . Unfortunately secondary ticketing has been a very convenient decoy to addressing where the real problems lie at the root of ticketing.

Too true this. @Keir_Starmer was one of the biggest culprits for free tickets, for a guy who is supposed to be everyone’s moral guide why did he see it fit to pay back part of the cost. The lawyer found guilty trying to get away with it. Why wasn’t that a gesture from the heart in the first place?
@bananare86@RupaHuq@CommonsSpeaker@LindsayHoyle_MP There is a good point here, and the point is nobody has to pay the prices if they don’t want to. It could be argued this is a very low priority issue in the grand scheme of things.
The @oasis pricing scandal had nothing to do with ticket touts in terms of pricing. it has everything to do with the extorting cabal of promoters who set the original prices!!!! Illegal bots were active yes and the primary agencies need to be held to account for allowing them because they know for sure who they are. It would just take a bit of will power #stopthebots
🧐. 2 comments about football in recent days from @Keir_Starmer & @AndyBurnhamGM. Wonder why that is? They obviously care so much about other people having to pay or about VAR that they feel compelled to speak out which is rather odd considering the things they don’t speak out about. Makerfield by-election vote canvassing anyone?
So @tickemasteruk think it is OK for promoters to breach the Consumer Rights Act by not offering a resale option to #consumers. It is all very shady and the the kind of crap that this company and its extorting cabal of promoters have been getting up to for decades @cmagovuk
Important to remind ourselves that irresponsible traders not only ruin it for those working lawfully but also affect the official market to the detriment of #consumers. Ticket limit is 4 for this event. Whether specced or botted or whatever, this needs eradicating.
Here is some typical daily corrupt things done by promoters and artists.
These @BonJovi shows were “sold out.”
What they really do is hold back these tickets to inflate all of the shows prices, then they slowly release new tickets after dynamically raising the price much higher.
This is done to manipulate fans who are uninformed and make them pay higher prices.
This is all done by the promoters and artists team, this greed can only be blamed on them and one of the root causes of why ticket prices are so damn high.
@TicketmasterUK what is yours and/or the promoters reason for not enabling resale on this event for Lola Young. We have customers who cannot resell their tickets.
BLUE DOT FEVER - refers to Blue dots used to signify unsold seats.
It's causing big name artists to cancel tours. Artists such as Pussycat Dolls, Meghan Trainor and Post Malone have all recently canceled events due to low ticket sales.
Ticket prices have gone up almost 40% in the last 5 years and fans are just not willing to bear the costs anymore.
How much money are you willing to pay to go see your favorite artists play live?
Example: Bruce Springsteen who used to be very popular in Boston and would sell out in a matter of hours. Still has hundreds and hundreds of tickets left for a concert that is less than a week from today. Prices on those tickets are anywhere between $400 and over $5,000 per ticket. That is crazy
