Fairfield Electric was thrilled to see SC Children's Book Challenge individual division winner Stella Grace Burroughs recognized by the SC General Assembly this morning. Stella Grace, a fourth grader at Fairfield Magnet School for Math and Science, wrote and illustrated a book entitled The Day That Power Took a Vacation. Her book was selected as the winner from more than 200 entries statewide and was the local winner for Fairfield Electric.

Stella Grace, her teacher Kimberlea Daly, and her family visited the State House this morning to be recognized in both the SC Senate and House of Representatives. They were hosted by Rep. Annie McDaniel and Sen. Everett Stubbs.

Linemen Kyle Kaelin and Dustin Duggins visited Kelly Miller Elementary School in Winnsboro for its Career Day on Friday. They had the opportunity to share information with students about their careers and show the students the tools they use to keep the power on. @KMES_Tigers

Applications are now open for the 2026 Fairfield Electric Touchstone Energy scholarships. FEC is sponsoring ten $1,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors in our service area. The money may be used for the college or technical school of your choice.
