Friday Zikr has been conducted today at the central Mosque of ATBU university. An immeasurable thanks to those who stood their ground and fought this long endured discrimination.

Professor Mansur Yelwa’s initial resistance was a monumental miscalculation, What was intended as an impediment has instead become a catalyst that gears the start of a change against a sustained opposition.

Those of you celebrating that the plot of land given to Tijjaniyya at ATBU had been revoked are ignorantly ill-informed about the new regulations currently in force.

Under the new framework, Tijjaniyya adherents have been granted unhindered access to conduct their Friday Zikr and daily Wazifa within the central mosque. Ironically, what was distantly taken away from us has now become an epicenter of our daily spiritual activities. As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers.

The mosque has literally become ours with an Izala Sheikh offering prayers. The irony is profound, those celebrating what they perceive as our loss may eventually discover that the punchline rests squarely on them.

We are more determined to fight any manifestation of discrimination and institutional partialities we endure over the years from a disguised academic extension of JIBWIS operating under the banner of MSSN.

So great was their hostility toward their fellow Muslims that, after the school allocated land for a mosque to be built, the half-baked Salafi imam chose to resign rather than accept it.

Wahabism are cancer in Islam and to humanity.

Professor Mansir Isah Yelwa has put pen to paper for resignation as the chief Imam of ATBU central mosque simply because the university awarded a plot of land to Tijjaniyya students to build a mosque within the university.

I never knew these people harbor a hatred of this magnitude against Tijjaniya. This is the most pitiable and embarrassing reason i have ever seen from a supposed professional Islamic Sheikh. Islam isn’t a religion of rivalry, it’s a religion that reserves every right for individuals to practice it in accordance to Sunnah. This spells bad of him.
