Pakistan raises money at 2.5% in the Chinese market.
A statement attributed to the respected Ahsan Iqbal sb: “Nothing to celebrate. It is debt.”
Interesting.
So when dollars come through Roshan Digital Accounts at over 8%, that is not debt? A gift from a distant relative?
Our Eurobonds trade at yields above 10%, yet some people are upset about borrowing at 2.5%.
At this rate, the only financing worth celebrating will be the one that never has to be repaid.
My daughter studied months for her sociology A level. She went and gave a great paper today. She was so happy!
After the paper we find out paper had been leaked. Clearly someone is making money and one smart guy can sort this. Whoever this exam mafia is needs to destroyed.
Keep in mind we send over a hundred million dollars in O & A level fees to UK every year. So this responsibility is on them. Because this counts as valuable exports for UK I hope @JaneMarriottUK will step in figure this out.
The Supreme Court upheld the Sindh High Court decision that the board of TRG has committed a $150 million fraud against TRG’s 13,000 public shareholders. A business that once managed over $2 billion in assets now has only $100 million, with the rest destroyed by the present management, while they have paid themselves and their lawyers tens of millions of dollars. We look forward to removing them in the upcoming board elections now endorsed by the Supreme Court, and rebuilding the business, hopefully to even greater success than before.
A Foodpanda rider named Basharat Ali was passing through Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi late at night when he heard a girl crying. He found two armed men attempting to assault her. Despite the danger, he stopped and shouted for help, drawing attention from nearby people. The girl was rescued, and both attackers were arrested by the police.
Finally the kind of role models Pakistani youth needs: Sualeh Arif.
Not property dealers, tax evaders, bank defaulters, rent seekers, born into wealth etc.
But a self-made kid from a middle-class family in Karachi. Studied at MIT, started a hugely impactful company, changed the way people write code, now worth over $ 1 Billion at the age of 26!

The world of music is poorer today by the passing of the legendary artist Madam Asha Bhosle. I was going to write “Indian artist” but I didn’t as her art and her mastery of the craft transcended national, linguistic and cultural boundaries. May she rest in peace.
🚨🇵🇰 International Media exposes propaganda and praises Pakistan
"Pakistan has made it happen, bringing Iran and U.S to the table once seen as impossible. Despite doubts and propaganda, talks are now underway, Whatever the outcome, this is already a major win."
On this day 30 years ago, Sri Lanka became the cricket world champion by defeating Australia at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. 30 years have passed unbelievable
You know what the biggest injustice they have done to the salaried class is? If I have to name just one thing, it is this: they reduced the highest tax slab from Rs. 75 million to just Rs. 4.1 million, which is now taxed at 35%.
This rate was once meant only for the ultra-rich or very high earners. Now, even an ordinary salaried person earning Rs. 4.1 million a year has to pay 35% tax on their income.
My neighbor is 84 and lost his wife last year. He has no kids and I noticed he stopped cooking and barely turned his lights on. He was just fading away. So now, every single night when I cook dinner for my family, I make an extra plate and walk it over. We sit on his porch for 20 minutes and just talk. He told me yesterday that our little chats are the only reason he gets out of bed. It costs me nothing but a little food and time, but it means the world to him.
My son has just graduated from medical school, I am a single mother and worked many years cleaning the hospital to pay for his college. I would appreciate your blessing in his new job as a doctor. 🥹🥹🙏🏻
This is so not done. No desperation of getting wickets can justify this run out. That too from a captain. Youngsters please remember, even if the World Cup final is on the line never do what the Bangladesh skipper did. Sports without fair play is no sports.
