@Jesudunni_ We absolutely need to stop blurrying the lines, children should realise that they need to maintain professional relationships with their teachers, it doesn’t sound right to me that a teacher should build that form of closeness to a child, no matter the intention.

I never imagined I would be making this kind of plea.
My wife, Dasola, went in for a Caesarean Section to deliver our baby, but what should have been the happiest moment of our lives suddenly became a fight for survival.
She developed severe sepsis after surgery, leading to
I wish we knew the names of our local government leaders and officials the way we knew the names of pastors so we can call them out directly when it pertains to governmental failings 🤦🏽♀️
Turns out that "gifted, high-achieving child" who finished assignments in 10 minutes, read entire books under the blanket with a flashlight, and was praised for being mature... was actually just an undiagnosed ADHD girlie operating on pure, unregulated hyperfocus.
Anyway I learned yesterday that ppl with ADHD and/or autism often have really really REALLY strong senses of justice and fairness. So now I know why I react so strongly when ppl do things that are shitty. Don't do shitty things, guys! You'll stress out the ADHD/autistic folks!
So apparently people with ADHD get migraines and headaches at way higher rates than people without ADHD.
And nobody tells you this. You just spend years thinking you're unlucky or stressed or dehydrated.
Turns out it's biological. The same dopamine dysfunction that gives you ADHD also makes you more prone to headaches.
Plus your ADHD meds can cause headaches. Plus irregular sleep causes headaches. Plus your disorganized eating habits cause headaches.
It's headaches all the way down.
Neurotypicals: Friday feels like a reward.
ADHDers: Friday feels like I survived 5 days of pretending to function, and now I’ve got 48 hours to recover before I have to do it all over again on Monday.
@Rosco01126@Rxbremen I keep saying it ADHD is not fancy, it is not something to wish on yourself, it is a neurological condition that affects the quality of one’s life if not treated with either therapy, medications or lifestyle or dietary changes .
Neurodivergent brain usually comes down to how the nervous system handles processing, energy and input not a choice and not laziness.
For many neurodivergent people (including ADHD, autism, or AuDHD profiles), the brain can suddenly hit a point where it becomes overloaded or under-resourced:
Overstimulatio, executive dysfunction, uneven energy regulation, or stress can all push a neurodivergent brain into shutdown.
That airplane mode feeling is basically a temporary protective reset, your brain reduces input because it’s reached its limit, so everything feels paused without warning.
@OlaBillionss@mr_ameji Acceptance is the first step honestly , especially if you were diagnosed late , you experience grief, pain and anger. You will have flashbacks of experiences and connect the dots to how it was your ADHD symptoms at play.
@bigbrutha_ I hate the ADHD superpower narrative. There is nothing fancy about executive dysfunction, decision paralysis, Sensory processing issues or RSD. It is a neurological condition that creates a constant gap between what you know you can do and what your brain allows.
No, you cannot walk 10,000 steps daily, get 8 hours of sleep, cook every night, clean every day, take care of a family, make time for your own hobbies, and still be productive at work every day. This is not just propaganda, it is nonsense. Free yourself from it.
