Soโฆ I finally started posting on X. ๐
My account has been here since 2024. I justโฆ never used it. ๐
Iโve spent a lot of time creating behind the scenes, writing, teaching, learning, making things, trying new things and figuring out who Iโm becoming.
At TED 2006, motivational guru
Tony Robbins said, โEffective
leaders have the ability to move themselves and others to action because they understand the invis-
ible forces that shape us."
@ScaleUpBuildng_ Comfort is easy to choose because it asks nothing from us. Growth usually asks for a little more courage, discipline and consistency. The choice really is ours.

If you canโt inspire anyone else with your ideas, it wonโt matter how great those ideas are.
Ideas are only as good as the
actions that follow the communication of those ideas.
Mirror = self-accountability.
Window = giving credit.
Invert those two and you get blame-shifting when things break, and credit-hogging when things work.
That's how you lose a team without ever sending an email.
Here's a leadership filter I keep coming back to:
When things go wrong, look in the mirror first - own your part before blaming anyone else.
When things go right, look out the window first - credit the people who helped before celebrating yourself.
For a while, I thought I needed to choose one identity and stick to it.
Now I am beginning to think maybe I just need to keep exploring until the pieces make sense.
Does anyone else feel like they are building a career out of several different interests?
Someone asked me recently, โSo, what exactly are you trying to become?โ
And honestly?
I did not have a neat answer.
Because I am interested in too many things.
Writing. Film. Education. Content. Digital skills. Storytelling.
I have realised that sometimes I do not actually need more motivation.
I need to stop negotiating with myself.
โI will start tomorrow.โ
โI will do it when I have more time.โ
โI need to learn a little more first.โ
Meanwhile, the thing is still sitting there.
And then I caught myself.
How many good ideas have I abandoned because I was too busy wondering how people would receive them?
Anyway, I am posting it.
What is something you have talked yourself out of doing because you were overthinking it?
I almost did not post this.
Not because I had nothing to say.
I just started overthinking it.
โIs this interesting enough?โ
โWill anyone care?โ
โDoes this even make sense?โ
But maybe that is the point.
You cannot become good at something you are too afraid to start.
So here is to starting before I feel completely ready. ๐ฅ
