Most of spend so much time trying to change who we are yet who are we are is the best version of our selves.
My time in the @unitedpeople36#UPGSustainability leadership class 2026. So much has been taught, learned, and being your self as to try to create impact is key.

Part 2 of our Rapid Impact Assessment Report series focuses on our #SheThrives Education Sponsorship.
We found that financial constraints and illness are major barriers to school attendance.
Hi friends, today I want to share with you a beautiful project at @Gufasha_Found that holds a big piece of my heart, the “#ReturnMyFuture” Campaign, launched on the 11th of October 2022.
This is more than just a campaign, it is a voice of girls, a movement of girls demanding their rights, freedom, voice and futures that have been for too long robbed from them through child marriage.
For long, girls have been forced into marriages as early as 8 years, they’ve been forced out of school and been robbed off their right to learn, dream and lead.
Globally, 12 million girls are married off before the age of 18 every year. In my Country Uganda, over 34% of girls are married off every year while they’re still children.
Yet, a recent @UN report warns that at the current rate,we’ll need around 300 years to eliminate #childmarriage completely!! Sad, isn’t it?
But this is the thing about ending this harmful practice , as a grassroots advocate who directly works with girls and their communities, ending child marriage starts with the girls themselves , we can not end the practice without putting their needs, voices and demands at the centre of solutions. They are the ones at risk, directly impacted and so should be at the centre of solutions.
When we launched the #ReturnMyFuture Campaign, we envisioned it as more than just a peer support and mentorship campaign, but as a movement of informed, powerful, resilient and empowered girls who stand and speak up for their rights and who hold World leaders accountable for their commitments and promises made towards ending child marriage and ensuring that no girl is left behind. The campaign has empowered more than 700 girls with leadership skills to date.
However, we look forward to multiplying this impact to 1500 girls this year.
Would you love to support our work of mentoring and empowering girls to stand and speak up for their rights, be powerful leaders and make informed choices for their lives? Please do here, https://t.co/KR1VsQBDz1

Menstruation should be openly discussed in schools and communities without any stigma. It is essential to break the taboo surrounding it.

Every girl deserves the chance to dream, grow and reach her full potential.
For girls to achieve their fullest potential, we all have a role to play in ending child marriage, empowering girls and supporting their education.
#EmpoweringGirls#EndChildMarriage
Prioritizing funding girls’ education goes beyond enabling girls to access an education or even sit in classrooms.
It is one of the most effective ways to combat child marriage and empower girls with the knowledge and skills to advocate for their rights and well-being.
Prioritizing supporting girls’ education means creating environments where girls feel safe, supported and confident in their ability to achieve their dreams. Because for girls to become catalysts for change, lead, innovate and contribute to a more just , equal world, they must be supported to not only survive but thrive.
I urge all of us to lift up girls’ education and empowerment as though the future of our world depends on it because it does.
#EmpoweringGirls #EndChildMarriage
We are thrilled to share that we officially achieved a 501(c)(3) nonprofit status!
And all donations made to Gufasha Girls Foundation through this are tax-deductible.
