Praise: I was in my flesh this morning because I have to make a three hour drive home.

I was asked to give someone else a ride home (1 hr) in the opposite direction and I did NOT want to.

I was salty.

But during the ride I asked “do you know the gospel” and she said “no”

So I explained we all make mistakes and even one mistake means we can’t enter heaven. Jesus saw this and came to earth and lived a perfect life and took our punishment so we could be forgiven. So we could wear His garment of righteousness and when God looks at us he just sees His son’s perfect righteousness. I said “He loves you that much that he wanted you with Him despite your mistakes”

I looked over and she had tears in her eyes and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

If I had listened to my flesh and not given her a ride this moment wouldn’t have happened.

God is so good. I almost messed this up with my flesh and he was NOT having it. He did this. So humbled. Thank you Jesus for using us imperfect humans for Your will.

Faith is and salvation is accompanied by repentance. They go hand in hand. Repentance is deep and profound change is persons heart/head. They go from loving sin/this world, to loving God and wanting to obey/worship Him.

You are missing the point when you conclude that salvation by faith is a free pass to sin.

Why dont we offer sacrifices anymore? Because Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice.
What were sacrifices for? For the covering of our sins.

So Jesus covered our sins on the cross. And it is clearly show in NT that we accept that by faith only.
