Elder + software builder. I build faith-shaped tools, including ShepherdLink, and help church leaders use tech to serve people better. | @ShepherdLinkApp
I built this account talking about video games and sports. 🎮
But this past year, God completely changed my assignment.
I’m moving more toward Faith-Based Tech & Church Leadership.
If you’re an elder, minister, or church leader, this thread is for you. Follow the journey🧵👇
I build ShepherdLink in public because I want people to see what church software can become.
Not bloated.
Not cold.
Not generic.
Focused tools built around actual ministry work.
Pastors and elders are already carrying enough.
If your systems make it harder to know who needs care, those systems are working against the mission.
Administration should support shepherding, not compete with it.
Less than 2 hours to go. No code required.
Play the Open Beta and download the game at 10am PT on the PS5, XBOX and Steam storefronts.
Servers will be open until 6pm PT. Bring the Crew and drop your feedback on our Discord at https://t.co/M5oNGWJrg5 ahead of June 9 launch!
The real AI gap in church tech is not capability.
It is imagination plus execution.
Most churches do not need a moonshot.
They need one useful workflow that saves staff hours every week.
A healthy church knows more than attendance totals.
It knows who is missing.
It knows who needs a call.
It knows which care tasks are overdue.
Visibility creates better ministry.
Windows users, this one’s for you.
Computer use now works on Windows, so Codex can take action on your Windows computer.
And with Windows support for Codex in the ChatGPT mobile app, you can start, review, and steer tasks on the go while work continues on your Windows machine.
An early experience, but we’re working on more ways to keep your work moving, wherever you are.
One underrated use of Codex is workflow creation.
Not flashy demos. Actual repeatable workflows.
The kind that turn vague requests into checklists, routing, notes, and visible next steps.
Listened to @danshipper on Lenny’s Podcast, one idea stuck with me:
The future of SaaS may not be “add AI to every app.”
It may be: make your SaaS agent-ready.
AI becomes the workbench. SaaS becomes the place agents get real work done.
That mindset changes everything for me!
If a member falls through the cracks, it is usually not because people do not care.
It is because the church is trying to care for people with fragmented notes, scattered texts, and memory-based follow-up.
Caring people still need clean systems.
A lot of people are using AI right now to move faster.
My question is: why are churches still acting like better workflows are optional?
AI should not replace shepherding.
It should remove busywork so leaders can shepherd better.
Church leadership is not just about preaching well. It is also about building systems that help people get seen, followed up with, and cared for consistently.
The church should not have to rely on memory alone for member care.
That tension is a big reason I started building ShepherdLink.
Got tired of making invoices for my brother's Box Trucking business, so I used Codex to build BillSprint: a free invoice maker. Took me a day!
Freelancers, landscapers, handymen: make the invoice, download the PDF, get paid.

Working with a client right now to nail down an AI workflow that's going to save her days in her process. Days, not hours ... Days.
She has a makeup brand that she wants UGC videos for and something that's going to take her 15-20min per week for 21 videos.
