@PetGorilla More importantly, look at you, twist the words of the church policy to fit a narrative. I’m pretty sure one would call that deception if not flat out lying.
How many sins are you willing to commit in one day?
Can you please explain why you claim its hypocrital?
I am concerned becauae you act out, sometimes aggressively, against a group of people. You do this based on your convictions. The source of our wisdom should be the bible and the holy spirit. I am more concerned when you state you assume what the spirit is saying, thus bearing fruit that is bitter.
If your words were more than just attacks, but you also were demonstrating that your source of action was groundes in the principles taught; I think many people would react differently to you.
Galatians 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
I don’t feel these when reading any post you create, so I am spiritually concerned.
I listed out why I can say with conviction that I know when the Holy spirit speaks to me. Obviously he doesn’t answer every prayer, but when he does I know. I’m hoping it would’ve given you the prompting to ponder all the times you think you know the Holy Spirit saying, then analyze when you are sure you know what the Holy Spirit saying and why they are different from the times where you have to assume.
The world is dark and it’s getting darker, we all need that light. The path forward is narrow, and thus it is easy for the darkness to obscure. We must hold onto the lights so that way we know where we are going and help others find the way as well.
So you don’t actually know what the Holy Spirit is saying, you’re just assuming you think you know.
That’s concerning because the Holy Spirit has clear that when he is talking to me that I understand his message. It’s clear. I don’t need to assume anything because he is telling me exactly what he wants me to know.
Do you really think you are in a position to cast judgment on others if you can’t even understand what the Holy Spirit is saying to you?
For starters, cherry, picking in the Bible is definitely a thing; every denomination accuses another denomination of doing it.
So when I posted the verses from Matthew, where Jesus spoke that only those who do the will of the father will enter the kingdom of heaven, why didn’t you respond? Those versus directly challenged the claim you were making on that day. They came from the savior himself.
He cherry picks the crap out of the Bible. Show him versus from the Bible that contradict some of the things he says, and ask him for his understanding or clarification, and watch him ignore you.
He only pick out the Bible verses that he believes to make him morally and religiously superior, while ignoring other verses that may contradict the very messages he has given.
Yet, if you were to cuss at him, or be degrading in anyway, he will be more than happy to engage with you because he can use that as propaganda. He is good at using the strawman fallacy.
Not sure if this helps any, but I heard a Catholic exorcist, who has like 40 years experience; stated "The have knowledge but don't know everything like God does. If they need to know something, they are given that information. "
So I could see the argument being made that Lucifer is cunning, but God withdrew enough to ensure Lucifer wasn't a threat, but a nuisance.
Also, while I am typing this out, something came to me. Lucifer is known to have rebelled because of his pride. How many people in this world make horrible decisions because of pride? The movie Nefarious speaks about how the demons forever mission is to destroy us. (I know its a movie) but I figured the perspective could be something to add to the brainstorm on the topic.
I can't say I have the perfect answer to this. I have heard so many varying answers of why including the calvins(?) who state everyone and everything has no agency and are doing exactly what they are programmed to do. Such as you would always choose your church and I would always have become LDS because "insert his reasoning." Its wild to hear them speak but I digress.
Yes, I know they’re going to attack us, and I know many of them would love to cause physical harm if they could. But acting in a manner of which they can use as propaganda to feel people against you only increase the level of attacks and the consistency of the attacks.
Just like during the global war on terror, the terrorist organizations would film US soldiers in firefights, and they would edit that film to make it look like the United States military were killing innocent civilians. They would pass these videos around to recruit more people. Many of these so-called Christians on social media are doing the exact same thing.
For example, there’s a user that goes by the name pet gorilla. He is constantly making bold claims and when I ask him questions, he would always respond with a strawman fallacy. It got to the point where he could no longer stand in the same discussion with Me so he ignores any in all questions I ask. He ignores any in all Bible verses I provide. In his head, he is on a holy war where he has to do anything and everything to look like this heroic man standing up against the devil.
Many of these people are not acting and righteousness or with honor. They are trying to fulfill some fantasy in their head, where they this chosen person of God who has been selected to fight the devil and his minions. Go to my page and look at some of my recent replies where I’m asking people these questions or I bring up Bible verses; they don’t respond to me, but if you go to the post, and you read the comments, they will respond to people who are lashing out at them.
They don’t want an honest conversation, they don’t wanna bring people to Christ; they have to win their imaginary war.
@Salt_n_Smoke@Tony_AK907 Just a heads up when I’m running errands I tend to use voice to text cause that’s easier than trying to type on my cell phone. So if there are a couple spelling errors or typos, that is why and I don’t always notice them before I send the response.
It’s one of the reasons why I still like to engage with you from time to time because even if I disagree with you, I do feel like there’s a strong sincerity and a strong desire to see the truth.
Now I may disagree on some topics maybe I know something that you don’t, or you know something that I don’t; but a few times we have talked to each other seem to have been with respect.
And on the manner of respect, I do want to clarify something I said earlier to Tony. I did make the claim I felt like you were lying, but that is solely in regards to the church of Jesus Christ putting the family before Christ. Maybe I misspoke when I was trying to address Tony.
I can see how somebody might come to that conclusion because of the strong emphasis the church just put on the family unit. I do think there’s validity due to the way you a t at home speaks volumes. It’s easy for me to pretend to be something else at work or maybe at church, but the way I treat my spouse and my children; that will be consistent.
If you ever want to have the discussion on how high of regards the LDS church puts the family unit, I am more than happy to partake and try to clarify.
@Tony_AK907@Salt_n_Smoke If that was your form of an insult, it needs work.
More importantly; you didn’t address the concern I made, but you created a strawman argument.
Just so we’re clear if you claim to have zero unity with us, then that means you do not believe in Jesus Christ, you do not read the Bible and believe in stories that it says, and that you do not practice the teachings and strive to obey the commandments given to by Jesus Christ. It would also mean you don’t believe in the apostles, you don’t believe in the words that they proclaimed , and you don’t believe in the fact that God so loved the world that he sent his son to save it.
Is this the claim you really want to make?
