@Sharky_YT_ @achillsoul I don't think the original Suicide Squad is, Suicide Squad was already semi retconned by The Suicide Squad so it makes sense that Suicide Squad is just vaguely canon. Like in the DCU Enchantress probably faced a Suicide Squad at one point but beyond that it's unclear.

@DFoundingTitan For real like I have my own problems with Lanterns but it feels like at least on X the only critique given is that the show is woke for making flawed characters and not having Hal the "superior" Lantern be the main character.

I loved Spiderman And His Amazing Friends as a kid. This was the show that introduced me to the mutants and I'm glad for it, Iceman was at his peak and their original character of Firestar is such a fun hero to watch and she's filled with personality. #Spiderman #Firestar #Marvel

I liked Lanterns but I did want a more cosmic project, I wish there was more usage of the rings. I get the budget was lower because it's a TV show but this could've been better, it felt like a John Stewart show not a Green Lantern show and the Lanterns are a corps. #Lanterns #DCU

Iman Vellani is such peak casting for Kamala Khan and I'm worried that after Secret Wars they'll reboot and leave her character in the dust. She was great in Ms. Marvel and while I didn't care much for The Marvels I think she was the highlight of the film, keep her please 😢 #MCU

@xclical @destroyah75 @IstarFlash That's kind of racist, you're assuming white is the default, white people have stories too. Race is important but race isn't everything. Also like again I think it's lazy and sometimes a bit racist to change a character's race for no reason.

I love black characters but why not use the black characters we already have.

@MIronheartBooks @IstarFlash Iris doesn't need to be African, or Native American, etc... she is a Caucasian woman and that's what she is meant to be. There is only one scenario in which race swapping isn't lazy or racist and that's when you're reinventing a minor character, you wouldn't make Vixen white.

@MIronheartBooks @IstarFlash I like the CW and while I didn't love Iris in it I feel like that was more of a writing problem.

However, you shouldn't change a character's race just to say "look we have minorities now." There are so many POC in comics who don't get their shine because of raceswapping.
