@chuha @TBeaucoupe @EricMMatheny The increased spending power isn't something the FairTax relies on to grow the economy or whatecer, it's a net neutral effect for prices on new goods increasing but people having more money to offset that increase.
@chuha @TBeaucoupe @EricMMatheny To be honest, I don't know. It relies heavily on increased spending power (full check, rebate, higher wages) to offset any increase in prices on new goods. Not perfect, but better than income tax. Yes, it does incentivize bartering/buying used as a way to avoid taxes.
@grhs_sh @TBeaucoupe @EricMMatheny You prefer the government getting a cut of every dollar you make then forcing you to prove you gave them every penny they wanted? Taxation is theft, but income taxation is slavery-lite.
@codybpresente@kikisknees@JoetheDilo1917 Name a regime, and I will tell you if they are collectivist or not. Then you can try to guess whether I like them or not.
@codybpresente@kikisknees@JoetheDilo1917 Collectivists disagree with each other about which version of collectivism is best all the time. They'll even kill each other over it - even within their own groups.
@twjpdx23 That's not a normal car. If they install a pistol grip gear shift, then it becomes an assault car. No civilian needs a car of racing capabilities. Ban assault cars now.
@MeidasKami @TBeaucoupe @EricMMatheny I said all the shit she mentioned existed before federal income taxation. The implication is that income taxation is not necessary for roads to exist not that "before 1913 and now are similar."
