Ever since I had a ‘relapse’ 2 years ago it would seem my back is going to be one of my main weak spots. It’s constantly painful even with meds. I struggle with walking and now standing. I can’t remember a day where I was pain free ☹️
Currently going through the medical driving license renewal process. My license has now expired, I can still drive but I can’t deny not having a valid license gives me the fear in doing so 🚗
Imagine being at your doctors surgery and you are told you can’t make an appointment in person. You’ve to go home to phone the same person you just spoke to to make an appointment! Complete nonsense 🙄
@rickygervais As someone with MS I can say this is true. I take the piss out myself all the time and it gets me through. I could write some good stand up about it if I could stand up without falling over 🤦🏻♀️
How am I 3 years post diagnosis already?! 🤯 Yearly neuro review summary, bladder review and baclofen to see if it helps with the sporadic excruciating back pain I experience. MRI in the next few months.
Government backtracking and concessions makes it ever more clear: this bill is not fit for purpose, and does not even have the support of their own party.
MPs must vote against it!
Meg Hillier in the chamber talks about people being 'pushed into disability benefits'.
We are not pushed into disability benefits - you cannot be coerced into being Disabled! Disability benefits are there to support us to live independent lives in the face of an ableist society.
We’re in parliament asking MPs to vote against harmful cuts to disability benefits. ❌
PIP is a lifeline for people with MS, and this bill will push more people into poverty.
MPs must vote ‘no’, and #ProtectDisabilityBenefits.

Labour MP Rachael Maskell appears close to tears as she 'pleads' with the government to abandon planned welfare cuts
'These Dickensian cuts belong to a different era and a different party', she said
'The starting point should never be cuts before proper support' - disabled MP @EmmaLewell delivering a speech opposing the bill. Says #PIP review is looking increasingly 'predetermined'.
Her message to fellow #Labour MPs: 'Please do not do this.'

Rachael Maskell's amendment will be voted on at 7pm. If it goes through, the welfare bill is dead for now. If it doesn't, they will then go to the vote on the bill
We urge MPs to support the amendment

@Cliona_Evans Oh it makes everything so much harder. My left side is my bad side and when it’s like this it’s like my arm and leg are being dragged along. So painful too. What a Monday! X
I contacted my MP @imogenwalker who cut and paste some bog standard reply yet answered not one of my questions. Before the election I personally spoke with her on this issue, ‘disabled people will always get my support, I’d never allow cuts’. She’s voting for cuts 🙄

I wrote to my MP about benefit reform. The reply is below. Not one mention of the trauma and humiliation that comes from the process was addressed from my letter 🙄 @Shrink_at_Large
