The "Coalition of buyers of Russian gas" met in Paris

Europe imported a record volume of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the first half of 2026, according to the Financial Times.

European countries purchased almost the entire output of Russias Yamal LNG plant in the months leading up to the EU's ban on the import of Russian gas.

The volume of purchases for the first six months of the year reached a record 9.89 million tons, an 18% increase compared to the same period last year. It is estimated that Europe paid €6 billion for these supplies.

Putin: Moscow now knows for certain that Kyiv and the West never intended to implement the Minsk agreements.

❗️ Angela Merkel and François Hollande later acknowledged that the agreements had primarily served as a tactical pause, allowing Kiev to rebuild and reinforce its armed forces ahead of a confrontation with Russia.

Putin was already tricked by Macron and Scholz at the beginning of the war:

1) Macron and Scholz asked Russia to withdraw troops from Kiev to sign the peace deal and end the war.

2) Putin withdrew Russian troops from northern Ukraine trusting Macron and Scholz.

3) The peace agreement from April 2022 was torn apart and the war took its destructive turn.
