We were honored to welcome @WBurnett, co-founder of the @Stanford University Life Design Lab, @NYTimes bestselling author and featured guest on The @MelRobbins Podcast episode “How to Design Your Life in 1 Hour,” to BGSU for the first-ever Life Design Convening. Bowling Green is fortunate to offer Career and Life Design at the largest scale in the country, and we were grateful to welcome educators from 27 learning institutions across the U.S. and the world to Bowling Green for the first conference dedicated to Life Design.
If you’ve never heard of Career and Life Design, it’s reshaping how universities and colleges approach the student experience. It puts students in the driver’s seat of their education and provides a playbook for their career and life. Career and Life Design prepares students to be problem-finders and problem-solvers, with human-centric skills developed intentionally, not passively. Now more than ever, it’s important to provide students with these skills that employers are seeking so they can pursue fulfilling career opportunities before and beyond graduation.
