Our Ops team conducts runway inspections twice daily to check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and pavement conditions like cracks, spalling, or heaving. They also inspect airfield lighting, signage, markings, and navigational aids, like PAPIs and wind cones.
Missing last week’s rain? Our ops team captured this sunset over the airfield on Thursday, January 8, just as the storm cleared and the skies began to dry out. For you to enjoy ❤️
Drive by after dark & check out the F-16 Fighting Falcon @cafairbasearizona. Decorated by volunteers, this aircraft arrived from Sheppard Air Force Base in TX on Dec 7. Wrapped in ½ mile of lights: 150,000 multicolor lights, 900 clear lights on the canopy. McKellips & Greenfield
FFZ air traffic controllers hosted a “Thanks for Giving” celebration to thank the airport community for its support during the government shutdown. After weeks without pay, controllers received donated meals from tenants, businesses and neighbors who stepped up to help.❤️🙏😅
Last week’s rain brought a lot of amazing shots. This rainbow was the perfect backdrop for Falcon Field control tower. Captured last Thursday (Nov. 20) by one of our maintenance and operations team members.
Sunrise and rain gifted us a stunning double rainbow over Falcon Field Airport this morning. 🌈
Thank you to our Maintenance & Operations crew member who captured this perfect moment above our airfield. 😍👌
