This morning we had our final assembly to recognize our April Students of the Month. These students were observed exemplifying the trait of courage. We are so proud of them. Way to go, Guardians!
Some fifth grade classes got to try out pendulum painting in art this week. Second graders got to make trading cards using the art medium of printmaking.
Today students got to listen to author Jerry Pallotta. They learned lots of interesting facts about animals and got to see a bit of the writing process.

Students in Mrs. Nixon's class had the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Gabriel to voice their ideas for our building during a persuasive writing activity. Students spoke with Mrs. Gabriel about our schedule, our playground, and our hopes for the building.
Miss Clark’s 4th grade class enjoyed popcorn, juice, and a movie for bringing the most items in the school for our annual Gretna Neighbors Food Pantry Food Drive!
Last week during Read Across America there were many fun moments in addition to our special dress days. Students had a chance to continue our tradition of flashlight reading in library. Mrs. Myer's students created crafts inspired by Dr. Seuss characters.
