So it is Falls Awareness Week next week 19-25 Sept 2022 - look out as Shropshire Falls Therapy Service will tweet an exercise video daily ( from 20-25th Sept) demonstrating simple Chair Based Exercises from our self-help booklet.
#FRAX February #Osteoporosis - -Why FRAX?
Most people don't know they have it until it is too late - so how do you know? DO A FRAX

Healthy Ageing talk at Cleobury Mortimer Medical Practice yesterday. One referral already received! Thanks also to South Hermitage for hosting a similar event #fallstherapy2020tour
100% onward referrals from the latest Oswestry exercise programme showing excellent interaction between community and NHS. Establishing links with GP Practices through meetings with Care Co-ordinators and Healthy Ageing talks at GP surgeries. #onwardsandupwardsin2020
The Falls and Respiratory Teams (we don't use acronyms!) contribution to the Shrewsbury Ark and Food Bank in place of exchanging Christmas cards. So much more satisfying and a lot greener too! #MerryChristmas
Good posture is important because it helps your body function at a good speed. It promotes movement efficiency and endurance and contributes to an overall feeling of well being. #properposturepreventspoorperformance Shrewsbury, Wem and Oswestry classes looking good this week

Falls Awareness Week update 2. 466 hits on the sit to stand video (honestly I only looked once!!). 5 sit to stand videos posted back. Hopefully a few more people standing correctly. Thanks to @Shropshire_RCC@energise@danlewis@beebalanced and the star of the show Jack.
Falls Awareness Week talk at Louise House. To date 37 people have attended talks and all have found the material relevant and useful and nearly all have been signposted towards suitable exercise. Talks at Church Stretton, Ellesmere, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury and Oswestry soon.
Hats off to Ditton Priors medical practice for being the first surgery to confirm they have displayed our #fallsawarenessweek poster (it is on the TV Health screen). Every medical practice in Shropshire has received one so hopefully all of them will put it up.
My favourite of the week. Not technically correct but a HUGE improvement from the start when Jack needed help from 2 people. Jack came to the last few weeks with a big smile on his face and is determined to carry on exercising in the community #gojackgo#soproudoftheeffort
