@WorldWideWob Agreed that hockey can be difficult to watch on TV at times, but you have to try to watch it like football. On a handoff or play action, do you see the football the whole time? What about an arching pass or punt outside the frame? You watch the player motion to follow the play.

It’s an adjustment to the rules to increase offense. That’s why it’s being trialed by USAHockey. So you don’t have 30 seconds wasted every power play with an icing.

Would you call that gimmicky, or an effort to expand the game to more audiences? I prefer the added offense, but if you want 1-0 and 2-1 and ties, to each their own.

@oilyboyzzz @ShawnPetriw @HoCStaffer @NHL If you score, your penalized player gets to come out of the box. It’s not to necessarily to reward anyone. It’s to incentivize offense by the shorthanded team. More offense=more goals=more fans. Same for youth leagues not allowing shorthanded teams to ice the puck.

@politicstcan You have Josi laughably low. Below Bouchard?? Josi is the Captain and soul and the preds defense. He was out for 1 month and the preds went 3-9 giving up 4 goals/game. He comes back and they are 9-6 since. Josi has to be elite when the rest are no-name defensemen.

Can’t win a game if you don’t score a goal. Offense and power play look atrocious. Shutout for the 4th time in the first 20 games.

And all students were sent home last week for the semester. Only students on campus are athletes. She’s also been in SEC COVID protocol for long enough to join the football team.
