@arojinle1 @akinalabi Oye asun si siwaju o 👏🏻

[Gov Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01]

I was in Esa-Oke to condole with the family of late Ajayi Aderogba, a father of four children who was allegedly killed by APC thugs in the presence of his wife and son on the night of Tuesday, 23rd June, 2026.

I renewed my call on the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Tunji Disu @TunjiDisu1, over the inaction of the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Gotan, regarding the spate of political killings and attacks in Osun State.

I listened painfully, as the wife of the deceased, Tolulope, narrated the incident and named the six APC thugs who were present at the scene of the incident and urged the Inspector-General of Police to ensure that this matter is not swept under the carpet, as has become the usual practice.

Again, I condemn these unnecessary killings by political thugs, and I assure all our supporters and people of Osun State that we have the capacity to defend and protect them. We are not cowards, but we will continue to cooperate with security agencies to carry out their lawful duties. We will not resort to self-help, but neither will we be taken for granted.

@LereOyewumi @AAdeleke_01 Yes so, the truth has been spoken 👏🏻 🙌

[Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun @AOEgbedun]

Today, the leaders, elders, and members of the Accord, Odo Otin Chapter, re-elected me as their consensus candidate to represent them in the 9th Osun State House of Assembly.

This endorsement is not only a vote of confidence in my leadership, but also a challenge for me to do even more in the service of our people.

I remain fully committed to effective representation and to ensuring that the dividends of good governance reach every nook and cranny of Odo Otin.

I sincerely appreciate the trust and confidence reposed in me. With the help of God and the continued support of our people, I will not disappoint.

Together, we shall continue to move Odo Otin forward.

Only God knows the degree of entropy Ambassador Seriki-Gambari, the formerly anointed successor to Kwara State Gov, must have gone through in the last 48 hours when it dawned on him he would no longer be the heir apparent to the incumbent, awaiting coronation, which is what the APC direct primary essentially does.

I hope those who had already seen themselves as SSG, Chief of Staff, Chief of Protocol, SAs, PA and other countless would-be appointees would not slip into depression on the realisation that their anchor would no longer bear the anointing of the governor, who had to change his mind on whom to support in a spate of 24 hours.

It is a sad experience.

The crowd. The throng of emergency supporters. A coterie of businessmen and contractors already angling to land juicy contracts from the state government would have to switch allegiance to the new man, who has just clinched the APC gubernatorial ticket.

In any case, Seriki's fate is far less worse than that of David Lyon, a governor-elect, who, less than 24 hours to his inauguration as the gomina of Bayelsa State, had his victory judicially terminated because his deputy-elect had Oluwole credentials.

In fact, Mr Lyon was said to be doing the last leg of his parade rehearsals when the news filtered in that he would be another Moses who would not see the promised land. I doubt if Lyon has ever recovered from the tragedy, which was clearly not his making.

For Seriki, there's always another day. He is young. There's more to what he can achieve with his life than being the governor of his state, which would have been the honour of a lifetime, though. He is a Muslim, I suppose. In Sha Allah, there is always another day.

“I’ve spent over 25 years in Nollywood, but the reality is, it hasn’t rewarded me the way people assume. I still can’t afford the kind of life I want. That’s why I’ve decided to step away from acting and relocate permanently to the U.S. If everything works out, I might even join the army there or find a solid job to build a better life.”
