Started FAME (Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education), developed the FAME Career Pathway and the FAME AMT Program at Toyota Motor North America.
@jtonydavis A day or two ago I used a set of parentheses within a set of parentheses, like math except for English. My tangent thoughts have tangent thoughts.
@jtonydavis Correct, as evidenced by FAME with it's strong and growing University level. The real key is having *enough* but not more or less in a given field. The real problem is one of imbalance.
@vincebertram Regarding 2-year institutions, my own informal research shows that full-time, on-time graduation rates among U.S. colleges ranges from 5%-20%. I suspect that those on the "higher" end of that scale are practicing some skillfully applied smoke and mirrors.
@tx_fame@YouTube Congratulations to the 38 new AMT students entering the TXFAME-Alamo Chapter program! Great accomplishments lie ahead for these new AMTs during the Advanced Manufacturing Technician program, and afterward as global best technicians contributing to their FAME employer's success.
@TheMfgInstitute I did! I transitioned straight from the military to manufacturing. I'm now 34 years into a great career. I encourage all veterans to consider this remarkable opportunity offered by MI.
Welcome Sunshine FAME's new Twitter account. This first chapter in Florida is located in the central coastal region covering Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Deland, Cape Canaveral, and more. (A second chapter is starting on the Gulf Coast!). Give them a welcome at @SunshineFAME
@tx_fame@GoSPC I would like to say that it's the name, but I know that it was the FAME AMT Program and Justin's drive. ... Congratulations, Justin, on a great achievement! Congratulations, TXFAME-Alamo, on a great chapter achievement!
@tx_fame@HEB@SmithsonValley@cisdnews Great message. Abraham's looking great in FAME Professional Dress! AMTs look professional. AMTs think professionally. AMTs exhibit professional behaviors. The AMT professional work ethic produces professional business outcomes for their employers.

Check this short testimony from the TXFAME-Alamo Chapter. An AMT student speaks to his experience in the program. Note his great display of FAME Professional Dress. FAME strives to build professionalism and it starts with professional appearance. Looking good, Abraham!
Take a look at this awesome video featuring the INFAME-Central Indiana and INFAME-Hoosier chapters. Well done, INFAME! Well done!

@KoKo1Gee@IvankaTrump While it was one continuous effort, each phase had its own name:
1988-90: Pre-Hire Program
1990-2003: Skilled Trades Development Program
2003-2006: Maintenance Co-op Program
2006-Present: AMT (2006-9)/FAME (2010-Present)

@SecGeneScalia Thanks for recognizing the report on the FAME program! Within the report one also finds remarkable gains and achievement for females and POC when comparing FAME to other technical programs.
@spencesbridge@IvankaTrump "Apprentices are a good thing, but if there are not jobs for them, it’s a waste of money!" ... Agreed. The immediate full-time job placement rate of FAME is about 85%, into jobs that pay, on the average, $59,164 the first year and $98,000 by five years.
@KoKo1Gee@IvankaTrump FAME is the latest phase of a continuous improvement effort that started in 1988. The "FAME" phase started in 2010 but the overall initiative has been ongoing for 32 years.
@AntheRhodes@IvankaTrump If you are referring to FAME in your first sentence. FAME is the latest phase of a continuous improvement effort that started in 1988. The "FAME" phase started in 2010, but the overall effort well pre-dates the Obama administration.
