@jabaroky@BaT_MaN_23@grok Allah is not in the pic, because Allah is a figment of Mohamet's imagination. The Koran's "Isa Ibn Maryam" is not the Jesus Christ of the Gospels or of Christianity - and that can be demonstrated.
@SSpade97@FightofFaith Worshipping a skull? Where do you get that from? I saw not sacrifice offered to it. All I saw was gestures of honour and respect; the same that we might pay to a judge or a king.
@Truth_matters20 Baptism does nothing for babies? The mystery of baptism is spiritual and invisible, so how could you possibly know; this is just your opinion. What baptism does, it brings them into participation with the life of the Church, the Eucharist, & participation in the liturgy.
@LizzieMarbach Not just a different Gospel, but a different Christ and a different God as well. Protestantism is a modern invention based on Renaissance and Enlightenment epistemologies while proof-texting a text they cannon read (but must have hundreds of translations for).
@BookOfRevelatio@NickHintonn By inference, or implicitly you are indicating that Orthodox Christianity concretely teaches that one must be a member of the Orthodox Church to be saved; and that Orthodoxy teaches salvation by “works.” Correct?
@BookOfRevelatio@NickHintonn So what you are saying is that you believe that some “denomination” teaches that being a member of it, saves you apart from Jesus Christ – or that some “works” that we must do, saves us? Is that your argument?
@Gnosisinformant@gew984757@rabbriansamuel@NNVActiveClub Jesus and His cousins (Apostles) could read and speak Greek (lingua franca of the Roman Empire); the synagogue of Nazareth very likely used the LXX, as well as Aramaic Targums. The NT chiefly quotes from the LXX Greek.
@Gnosisinformant@gew984757@rabbriansamuel@NNVActiveClub Scholarship in recent decades shows that the region of Galilee 2,000 years ago was far more bilingual than previously thought (Greek and Eastern Aramaic/Syriac). Galilee did not use Hebrew at all (no one actually spoke Hebrew since 150 B.C.).
@ElephantSignal Most of Canada, but not all of it . . . not southern Ontario to Ottawa, not Quebec, and not Vancouver . . . they are festering holes of Marxist agitators. Québec is always more trouble than they are worth; and they contribute almost nothing to the nation.
