Happy New Years!
We thank all of you who have stuck around for this long and eventful journey so far. There is more to come of course, so stay tuned, and hang in there!
We have returned with a little teaser to show what we've been working on behind the scenes!
@Klonoa161 Hiya! We're better to catch in our email, Discord, or Bluesky.
Regardless, Twitter also threw your messages into requests, so there was no notification, which is totally cool and good,,,
@TomatoCheese@LotsaSpaget@Winter67934 Hi there! The latest versions of the SD2SNES, that being FXPak Pros produced after 2022-2023, work with the expansion chip combo both hacks use (SA-1 + MSU1). Older revisions of the FXPak Pro are not powerful enough to run SA-1 and MSU1 at the same time, so they just pick SA-1.
PASTA LA VISTA SUPER MARIO BROS. IS OUT!
Thank you guys all for all the support, and I am proud to say the main game is fully finished after the half of a year development time!

@J3SteR727 Yes, Rev.D is actually the exact version my cart is. It must be your file configuration then.
Make sure everything exactly matches. The rom can't be something like "SMBCD (Patched).smc".
If your game is in the correct configuration, feel free to message in the email thread.
The Super Mario Bros. CD web page has finally seen a facelift! This overhaul includes a completely changed layout, and updated (+ brand new) written info regarding the game!
Check it out here! https://t.co/LAxN3rBQvZ
@J3SteR727 Yup! Everything required is included in the zip. If they are missing, we would recommend downloading again.
If any further problems arise, feel free to contact us via email ([email protected]). Otherwise, keep us posted!
@J3SteR727 Hi there!
Did you ensure your ROM was in the same directory as your music and MSU file?
If so, it's most likely the FXPak Pro. Any unit produced before 2023 or 2022 (not exactly sure when they changed the FPGA) has a weaker FPGA and can't handle MSU1 + SA-1.

I would love to share you this fan made Japanese cover illustration for the upcoming project "Super Mario Bros. CD" by @FamicomCD
Hope you love it and can't wait for SMBCD to come out >W<

@DongyJammin@JustinWhang Hi there! Unfortunately the auto patcher does not work right now. We recommend the February demo any way as it is the newer demo.
You can follow this guide for easy patching: https://t.co/Ir8c7RkXPW
@TreyStrother Hiya! We have been working on the game for about 3 or 4 years, and we've released 2 demos across 2 years. In none of that time have we heard a peep from Nintendo.

@PufferJiggly@MarioBrothBlog Yup! These are called sequenced tracks. They're very space efficient, and had been widely used up to the Wii era. It's rare to see sequenced music nowadays due the fact streamed music formats such as wav can handle multiple tracks at once, and the lack of space limits, though.
Something i made for the @FamicomCD team. Can’t wait to play the next update cuz y’all are doing some amazing stuff I didn’t even know was possible for a rom hack
