TONIGHT is the night! Come celebrate #GIVERoanoke with us! Our event is from 5:30-7PM, then stay for Trivia Night from 7:00-9:00PM! There will even be a bonus round with five questions about FSRV at the end of the night!
We were honored to be invited to attend the 11th Annual Ladies of Vision Ministry Love Shouldn't Hurt Conference today which was held at High Street Baptist Church. It was a day of uplifting survivors and also bringing attention to area resources, such as FSRV.
We so appreciate the multitude of contributions that our Immediate Past Chair, Dr. Don Smith, has made and continues to make! Don supports FSRV in countless ways!
In 2011, we honored the legacy of President & CEO, John Pendarvis after an astounding 22 years of leadership and welcomed Sharon Jarrett Thacker to that role.
That same year, our Teen Outreach Program®(TOP®), became a nationally recognized Wyman Center replication site.
Our annual St. Patrick's Day team photo! Look at all of the shades of green and two of us are even wearing green pants!

In 1966, a merger with the local Traveler's Aid Agency resulted in another name change for our organization which was the Family Service - Traveler's Aide Association of the Roanoke Valley, Inc. This service was operated by the agency until 1985!
In 1954, when we were still known as the Family Service Association, we added a legal aid service. In 1959, our organization needed more space and moved into this house on King George Avenue!
We celebrate this special day and want to thank the members of the executive and leadership teams who lead FSRV!
Thanks to Linda, Jamie, Carmen, Jill, Rhianna, Megan, and Maggie for their support and guidance!
Please go have a great fish dinner TONIGHT and support FSRV and some other amazing nonprofits at the same time!

In 1938, with the urging of and with funding from the Junior League of Roanoke Valley, we amended our Charter and became the "Family Service Association." This is our front window located at 116 Kirk Avenue and we were licensed by the State as a Foster Care agency!
