We must never assume that someone who is gifted verbally and has theological knowledge is spiritually wise and mature.
Sometimes that leader is power-hungry and self-serving, exploiting the system and its people to feed themselves.
Thanks Southwest for publicly bullying and teasing me for having diabetes and needing to stand up due to nerve and circulation issues and other medical disabilities. https://t.co/sMl4UNTFDs
In great systemic failure, many Christian systems have not only covered up for abusers, leaving many free to continue to abuse, but also we have presented them as good, even godly, and kept them in high places.
UN experts concerned that flawed ‘Epstein Files’ disclosures undermine accountability for crimes against women & girls.
The files have shocked the conscience of humanity and raised terrifying implications of the level of impunity for such crimes.

Mike Winger is a case study in ministry. He’s a nice guy with a gracious delivery and is above reproach.
Yet when you read the comment sections of the men he has exposed, they call him a snake, an accuser of the brethren, a messenger of Satan.
The truth is, even when Mike got his delivery perfect, it still didn’t matter. And that’s the point of the study: ultimately, it doesn’t matter how you say it, the “sin” is that you would say it at all.
Saying it the wrong way just gives the unrepentant an easy out to dismiss the truth. "He’s belligerent, he’s X, Y, Z"—but is what he said true? The wicked hate the light no matter how it’s presented, but a dim light is easier to dismiss than a bright one.
“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.”
We need to take the initiative to keep suffering people connected with us. If we tell a survivor to call us when they need something, we will probably not hear back. We need to lovingly pursue them with calls and encouraging notes—invitations that are sensitive to their needs.
Deception becomes systemic when we use our collective power to protect what we desire to be true rather than face the destruction and the pain that accompanies the actual truth. Deception functions as a narcotic in protecting us from seeing or feeling that which is painful to us.
This is @Jedidiahhartley. On a new season, he tells us what it was like to have a ‘prophet’ for a Dad, and what led to him now exposing his Dad as a fraud. Episode 1 is out today.
Here is a new report that has just been released - https://t.co/idZNvEnNim - For those asking, I’m sure there will be some comments once we have read and digested
I am sharing this link because this report is filled with quotes that make me feel like the adults are finally in the room… #mikebickle#ihopkc

Silence is complicity. Religious abuse is domestic violence.
If you silence a victim of religious abuse it is domestic violence!
If you use spiritual bypassing to silence a victim of religious abuse it is domestic violence.
When you feel overwhelmed in exposing truth, remember this: people are sacred, created in the image of God. Systems are not. They are only worth the people in them and the people they serve. And people are to be treated, whether one or many, the way Jesus Christ treated people.
In 2014 when I moved back to California from IHOPKC, I met a young man who had been involved with Rick Joyner's Morningstar. His family had recently moved to California in part because their son had become closely involved with Todd Bentley.
He shared his story with me. This was after Todd had been "restored". The story he told was shocking.
Without going into detail it allegedly involved sexually explicit text messages involving Todd's wife and many pornographic conversations. When his parents found out about the texts they pulled their son and eventually left the state to avoid getting involved in a scandal.
They were part of the collateral damage of Rick Joyner's restoration of Bentley.
In this clip from a recent documentary the same arguments are made for the "restoration" of a morally corrupt leader to a position of authority and leadership in the body of Christ.
Bentley paid Joyner $250,000 for his "restoration process" I wonder what the rate will be for Mike Bickle?
@RoyalJewel9 High control, coercive control, and cults groups and families and spouses and pretty much the same thing. Dr Sherrie Campbell’s books and podcasts and the book Narcissistic Abuse by Vanessa M Reiser were helpful for me to understand this association.
This is the foundation of the prophetic history, Kansas City Fellowship and Olathe Christian Fellowship. Fraud and sexual immorality. Power, Pulpit, Profit!
I had no idea that John Wimber had spoken out. I sat in the building with Chris Dupre, Lloyd Rindels and I think Seth Peterson, we were talking about Chris recording an album for the Vineyard series. I was excited to work in the recording studio.
I was in the building with the worship team and Mike Bickle came in and told us that God audibly spoken to him in a dream and MVF was leaving the Vineyard.
The leadership controlled everything we heard. There was not social media in those days. No one ever said that John Wimber was speaking out about MVF. This is the how High Control Religious Institutions and the high control families in these institutions distort reality and drive victims into a state of deep cognitive dissonance that the victims only believe the reality that the abusers tell them. If I had known that John Wimber was speaking out against MVF I would have probably left MVF.
In this clip from Mike Bickle's 1988 Prophetic History, Bob Jones joins the conversation to help deliver several prophecies to the congregation.
Here Mike recounts an encounter where he and Bob Jones were told by God that if they stayed out of malpractice Jesus would grant a healing anointing so powerful
"That no disease known to man would stand and prevail against them."
Maybe someone forgot to tell God that Mike Bickle had already fallen into malpractice when he used the "anointing" to seduce a 14 year old.
Or maybe Jesus, didn't notice in the sands of time that Jones himself would be exposed for using the "anointing" to convince a Mother and her Daughter to disrobe before him.
Later, Bethel Church in Redding, CA under the influence of Jones, adopted this same prophetic word as a part of their never ending Revival culture.
This is the Prophetic History of IHOPKC's Founder.
@_bytheirfruit@LouEngle@mikebickle I grieve the loss of my kids on a daily basis. I am happily divorced and living a life of healing. Even if my kids one day choose to find freedom and healing from the high control religious family that they are trauma bound to, I will NEVER get back the time that was taken.😡
I have heard so stories of Luke Bickle physically and emotionally abusing females at Dominion. The parents of the victims and Mike Bickle had them all meet and distorted the reality to the point that the female victims repented for Luke’s abuse. To this day they are afraid to come forward because their own parents still defend Mike Bickle and they have watched the smear campaign of IHOP. 🤬
