Rejoicing is an instruction, by the Spirit of God, replete in scriptures, and many atimes to those in distress and hardships.

Phillip 3:1, 4:4; 1Thess 5:16; James 1:2; 1Pet 1:6-8

This shows that we can deliberately create an atmosphere of supernatural joy around us always.

One of the responsibilities of man in God’s image on earth is to make intercessions - strong appeal/request on behalf of others.

This is a major work of the priest of God on behalf of the people. Exo 18:19, 28:29-30

This is the Spirit’s call.

• Rather than groping in sadness, be full of joy. James 1:2, 1Pet 1:6-8
• Never neglect the gathering of the saints. Therein is God's strength and answer. Heb 10:24-25

We are blessed!

Tests and trials are part of life, including the spiritual life.
And what we do (our outcome) in the midst of these is a proof of the progress we have made/are making.

As believers in Christ Jesus, what should we do in the midst of adversities?

• Rather than listening to contrary opinions/voices, feed voraciously (and stay) on God's word. Num13/14
• Rather than murmuring/complaining/being anxious, pray consistently, inspite and despite. Philippians 4:6

Salvation in Christ does not preclude a promise of a life of bed of roses.

Rather, in it is a call:
• to followership, commitment, and sacrifice.
• to stewardship, and faithfulness.
• to endurance and perseverance.
