Honestly, could not agree more!

Wife and I were at a party last night, about 30 minutes from where we live, and most of the people who attended had to take an Uber there and back for fear of driving late at night or super tired.

The NHTSA has just officially announced that the 2026 @Tesla Model Y is ​the first ​vehicle model to pass ⁠the agency’s new ​advanced driver assistance ​system tests.

2026 Tesla Model Y vehicles, manufactured on or after Nov. 12, 2025, successfully met the new criteria for four newly integrated advanced safety tests:
• Pedestrian automatic emergency braking
• Lane keeping assistance
• Blind spot warning
• Blind spot intervention

“Today’s announcement marks a significant step forward in our efforts to provide consumers with the most comprehensive safety ratings ever,” said NHTSA Administrator Jonathan Morrison. “By successfully passing these new tests, the 2026 Tesla Model Y demonstrates the lifesaving potential of driver assistance technologies and sets a high bar for the industry. We hope to see many more manufacturers develop vehicles that can meet these requirements.”

Tonight, Tesla introduced two new blue exterior paint colors in the U.S. for the Model Y and Model 3.

Old blue:
• Model Y: Deep Blue Metallic
• Model 3: Deep Blue Metallic

New blues:
• Model Y Premium: Marine Blue
• Model Y Performance: Frost Blue
• Model 3 Premium: Marine Blue
• Model 3 Performance: Frost Blue

Like with all colors for the Model 3/Y Performance, the new Frost Blue color is available at no extra cost. This is the same Frost Blue that was available on the Model S/X. Marine Blue on the Premium trims is $1,000. Deep Blue Metallic has now been discontinued after 8+ years in the Tesla lineup.
