Out of all the Star Wars locations I just know I would get the best sleep in a bed in an apartment on Kamino. A close second is Yoda's house on Dagobah
turns out going randomly paranoid about all the bloat and random connections going in and out of my smart tv a few years ago ending up downloading the samsung smart tv devkit in order to yank all the shit i didn’t recognize or need out and keep it out was not a bad idea
now i just have my new smart tv completely disconnected from the internet and use a separate local network with an isolated and monitored box to stream stuff lol
Smart TV's don't serve any purpose besides surveillance of the owners. With internet connected bluray players, Roku type devices, and hdmi ports to computers there's no reason our TV's need to BE computers. They're recording your every word inside your home.
Amazon cancelled the new Stargate show.
The rumor is that the show writer, Martin Gero, would not budge on compromising lore or elements within the show for a "wider modern audience" as they did with Rings of Power for LoTR lore.
Martin Gero wanted to create a show that maintained continuity in the story and lore of the old shows, including the mythology and tech, while respecting the 17 seasons of history.
Amazon instead wanted something new for the "modern audience" that's more accessible, reimagined, with more modern casual sensibilities.
Because the showrunners wanted to maintain integrity rather than turn Stargate into another "modern audience slop" like Rings of Power, Amazon leadership canceled it. The franchise heavyweight, like Joseph Mallozzi, was very excited for the fresh stories Gero worked on. Amazon says they are still open to Stargate, just not "this" version... yes they wanted to Rings of Powerify Stargate.
We really can't hate these people enough.
The lost ending to Dracula (1931) has been found, the lost scenes cut from Hammer's Horror of Dracula found, the lost 3.5 hour plus cut of Gremlins found. Lost media is having a moment, and we are reaping the benefits. Here's hoping more is found and we get physical releases.
I am a huge Spielberg nerd, and also a Tobe Hooper fan (especially Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2). So, knowing both styles in and out, I say this with full conviction and authority: Spielberg directed Poltergeist.
Once he obtains the Dragon balls they can fight forever!
Today in 1989, Vegeta made his first appearance in Dragon Ball Z.

The original Planet of the Apes, which had numerous gunshot deaths, a lobotomy, implied nuclear annihilation, and Charlton Heston ass, was rated G in 1968.
@VHSDVDBLURAY4K Every Bond actor's movies generally get dumber with each subsequent movie. Especially Brosnan's. It's not their fault. Every new actor gets a reset with one or 2 good to great Bond movies then they all get dumber to the point of absurdity.
I have only seen Iron Man, IM 2, Elf, Chef, and Cowboys and Aliens.
Iron Man is a perfect movie. One of my top 50 favorites.
Elf is the only Christmas movie I have any interest watching outside of December,
Chef wasn't bad. It was a good movie.
Cowboys and Aliens is underrated.
The Disney Plus disclaimer on Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones about "tobacco depictions" is hilarious and incorrect. There is no tobacco in this movie.
