I am really kinda done with the @whitesox and monorail salesman Rick Hahn. Remember Rick Hahn promised the fans back in 2016, that to build a sustained winner he shad to tear it all down, and begin this rebuild. We #WhiteSox fans had to be patient.
Our rotund governor just cant keep his hand out of Illinois citizens pockets. Meanwhile he gets on TV and lies on how he is making it more affordable to live here and our feckless media never calls him out on it. 🤡
NEW: Illinois Governor Pritzker has signed a 0.2% tax on crypto transactions into law including transfers between personal wallets, with the Crypto Council for Innovation calling it "the most punitive digital asset tax in the country."
Colson: "You should stop thinking of us as a surprise just because we are consistently winning, consistently in every game ... I think yeah, those days [of being a surprise] are kind of over."
.@GovPritzker champions himself as an "affordability" champion, and national Democratic leaders and aligned progressive media influencers are often eager to echo his claims uncritically.
But the actual data reveals a very different reality for Illinois taxpayers and workers.
Since 2019, the state's job market has practically flatlined compared to the rest of the country.
Here is what informed Illinoisans should know:
>Net job growth sits at an abysmal 0.75%, ranking Illinois 44th in the nation.
>Illinois ranks dead last in job growth among the 20 largest state job markets.
>Professional and business services jobs have actually plummeted by over 53,100.
>Meanwhile, the state added a net 39,200 state and local government jobs compared to a net of only 9,400 private-sector jobs overall.
The core problem is a hostile business climate. Pritzker has presided over 57 tax and fee hikes costing Illinoisans $77 billion, combined with thousands of new regulations.
You simply cannot tax and regulate your way to prosperity. Springfield has tried.
Did I overlook the part where you mention the $16 Billion in increased taxes during your tenure as Gov?
Nope. I double checked. You forgot to include that fun fact.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun says he expects a formal announcement from the Bears by the end of June signifying their intentions to leave Chicago for Hammond.
Indiana crafted a stadium bill in weeks, while Illinois is still debating the ideal route to take years into the process.
JB Pritzker is against using Illinois taxpayer dollars to help keep the Chicago Bears in Illinois. But he’s perfectly fine with using $180 million in taxpayer money to renovate his downtown Chicago Hyatt hotel.
Record Spending.
-$900 million in new taxes, some of which will be challenged in court.
-$3.8 billion in new borrowing
-Shorted Actuarial Pension Payment
-$400m+ for illegals
-Legislator pay raises
The budget is not responsible.
The audacity of Alexi Giannoulias talking about safety is infuriating!
My daughter Katie was killed by someone who never should have been on Illinois roads in the first place but was given a valid Illinois drivers license.
Is that your idea of safety Secretary Giannoulias?
Katie was sacrificed to reckless policies and political ideology defended by J. B. Pritzker and Alexi Giannoulias.
