.@GovPritzker champions himself as an "affordability" champion, and national Democratic leaders and aligned progressive media influencers are often eager to echo his claims uncritically.

But the actual data reveals a very different reality for Illinois taxpayers and workers.

Since 2019, the state's job market has practically flatlined compared to the rest of the country.

Here is what informed Illinoisans should know:

>Net job growth sits at an abysmal 0.75%, ranking Illinois 44th in the nation.

>Illinois ranks dead last in job growth among the 20 largest state job markets.

>Professional and business services jobs have actually plummeted by over 53,100.

>Meanwhile, the state added a net 39,200 state and local government jobs compared to a net of only 9,400 private-sector jobs overall.

The core problem is a hostile business climate. Pritzker has presided over 57 tax and fee hikes costing Illinoisans $77 billion, combined with thousands of new regulations.

You simply cannot tax and regulate your way to prosperity. Springfield has tried.
