If you are a noteworthy politician/righteous for either party and good at your actual job(serving the people) then this pay cut should seem like it’s been a long time coming.

Politicians and government officials should be paid minimum wage. Their job is to serve the people. It’s basically a volunteering gig. they should be paid enough to be accessible for all people, but should not be raking in 6 figs or more. All politicians.

As we face the sixth mass extinction and a slew of threats that most people ignore until it effects them. It will be too late if we play reactionary, we must be proactive to facilitate our massive population and strive for equitable solutions amongst all people that share this
