I've never been afraid of stepping out of my comfort zone. I believe that change is a good thing. So, to my fellow writers, I'd like to present an idea to you. Pick an album and see where we can go with our writing. I'd love to write off of your picks. #AmWriting
My dad would be 88 today. He thought me to swim and to love the sea. He thought me joy. I was at the beach early morning, swimming, remembering him and saying goodbye to the sea.
🚨 Highlight of the Day 🚨
New York’s last four championships in each of the 4 major sports:
1994 - New York Rangers 2009 - New York Yankees 2012 - New York Giants 2026 - New York Knicks
Who’s bringing the next title home to New York?
When the Gen X comedian drops truth bombs about life, shopping, or just adulting in general 😂 Karen Morgan is out here speaking straight to my soul! Who else grew up unsupervised & dehydrated but turned out just fine? Tag your fellow survivors!
After the missed layup…
Hart collapsed to the floor and sat there for a second.
For a brief moment, disbelief, disappointment and dejection overtook him.
He buried his head in his hands.
Then his teammates came to pick him up.
His buddy Brunson arrived, immediately offering a helping hand and words of encouragement. KAT reached down and extended one of his big mitts. Jose Alvarado clapped, helped Hart to his feet and tapped him on the backside. Shamet was stomping and shouting from the bench.
…
That belief, trust and faith in one another is how good teams become great teams.
It’s how special moments become miracles.
And we witnessed one last night.
We should write letters more. I miss that. I would say:
My love, it is the last day in the place we called home for 30 years. Place we loved, fought, cried, laughed. The place you died. I am sad, but also excited for the new life ahead of me, of possibilities and joy.
Grief comes in waves, unexpectedly, like an old friend knocking on my door.
Time does not heal, nor people can be replaced once they are gone.
I was loved.
I remember that.
"Your intention is well meaning, but only one thing is truly necessary."
Take a moment to pause and listen to His voice. While our work and service are wonderful, they are temporary. His words are the "better part" that can never be taken away.
The most terrifying detail about Noah's Ark isn't the size of the flood. It is the design of the boat. If you look closely at the blueprints God gave Noah in Genesis 6, He was extremely specific. He gave the exact length, width, and height. He specified the type of wood and the pitch to seal it. But God left out one crucial component: no steering wheel, no sail, and no engine.
Think about how scary that is. Noah built a massive vessel to survive a global storm, but he had zero control over it or where it went. He couldn't steer away from rocks, turn into the waves, or aim for dry land. He was completely at the mercy of the water. The Ark was designed for floating, not navigation. Noah's job was to be the passenger, not the captain. God was the Captain.
This is your life right now. You are trying to put a steering wheel on a situation that God wants you to simply float on and allow Him to lead and take control.
This blessed me. I hope it blesses you too. 🙏🏾
