Fantasy football taught/reminded me this year that…
1. You need to spend just as much time celebrating your wins as you do perseverating on your losses/mistakes
2. Nothing can be improved without being measured
3. Reflecting back on a poor decision just to beat yourself up is useless so figure out why you went wrong, apply it moving forward, and keep making confident decisions knowing that the good and the bad are what make this game and life fulfilling
Kenneth Walker and Brandon Aiyuk to the Commanders
Travis Etienne and Rashid Shaheed to the Chiefs
Rico Dowdle and Romeo Doubs to the Saints
Tyler Allgeier to the Broncos
Mike Evans to the Ravens
Stefon Diggs to the 49ers
Jauan Jennings to the Patriots
Alec Pierce to the Raiders
Wan’Dale Robinson to the Titans
After sifting through nearly a century of data (we actually took the time), the Tennessee Titans will enter 2026-27 with the single baldest coaching staff in NFL history.
Ope! I only hit on 4, 9, 11, and 13…5 and 6 were really close, 3 was shockingly close before the Davante hamstring injury, and several others were derailed by injuries so maybe I should pivot to PPG next year? I’ll just use whichever makes me look smarter
Nico Collins finishing as the WR1…
…is only half of my first of 13 annual bold predictions for fantasy football this year.
After crushing these in 2023, I missed on the majority last year despite it being my most successful fantasy season ever. Let me know the most and least likely to come true in the comments!
Rankings to support these takes will follow.
~243% ROI in 2025
~134% ROI in 2024
~158% ROI since 2019
Real estate, stocks, crypto…nothing touches the ROI of fantasy football (unless you actually were buying crypto in 2019 instead of trying to recruit your college buddies for what was probably a $50 league like me)
