When I heard about Senator Graham’s death last night, the first thing I thought about was not all the things he said and did in service of Donald Trump. I thought of the time before Donald Trump when he was a brother to Senator John McCain.
A time when senators from different parties could fight about politics and still be friends. A time when a conservative Republican from South Carolina could say of my father: “If you can’t admire Joe Biden as a person, you’ve got a problem. He’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in politics. As good a man as God ever created.”
That is the Senator Graham I will remember today. Not because I have forgotten what came after. Because in that memory there is hope. Hope for a country where brothers can fight like hell over policy and still share a meal, and a laugh, and the loss of the people they love.
I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump.
You have no idea how many law abiding NY State legal residents are victims of illegal criminals. That you are letting back out on the street instead of letting I.C.E. arrest them while they are still in custody. And you think this is is what the people want.Wake up or get voted out
Today, New York State told 12 law enforcement agencies it’s time to end their 287(g) agreements with ICE.
Public safety is strongest when local cops are focused on local crime.
You’re a small man exploiting a grieving family’s tragedy.
Sheridan Gorman’s killer should serve the maximum sentence possible and then be swiftly deported.
Nothing in our laws prevents violent criminals from being turned over to ICE, as we’ve done repeatedly under this administration.
But local police shouldn’t be pulled away from protecting New Yorkers to enforce civil immigration for a rogue federal agency that has killed Americans with impunity and terrorized communities across this country.

If you’re happy to criticize America and stand with Communist China, but have nothing to say about Jimmy Lai, the Uyghurs, or the other abuses of the genocidal regime, you need to reevaluate your priorities. https://t.co/CJ9c5rl9f1
@GriffJenkins@Rachaelcampos14 I think you need to clarify the Stairway to heaven sweepstakes. You have to pay to enter. Which makes it more accessible to the middle and upper class and less to the lower class.
@Mayor_Frey_ No one believes the bullshit coming from you and your office. Have your police departments control the violent rioters and let I.C.E. do their job getting serial criminals off the streets. Between that and the massive fraud going on, you and Walz should be ashamed.
@tonyromo how about asking your rules expert if the pass interference wasn't incidental contact how come there wasn't a call for the receiver pushing off.
He wants to hurt this country.? What is De Niro smoking? The Democrats opened the boarders to try and flood the blue states with people to increase their populations for the upcoming census to keep their current number of representatives in congress.
Actor Robert De Niro on Donald Trump: “He has no empathy. He’s an alien. And he wants to hurt this country. It’s something deeply psychological in him. He wants to hurt people, he wants to hurt this country. I don’t understand the people in his cabinet. How they can live with themselves after what they’ve allowed him to do?”
Good morning and Happy Sunday to everyone who was THRILLED to see 7 million people participate peacefully in No Kings protests: not just in Blue states, but in red states, and all over the world!
A complete rejection of trump's fascism.
Make sure everyone sees this!
Trump let George Santos out of jail just to make it clear that if you're loyal to him, you can get away with anything. This isn't a democracy if one man decides what's a crime and what isn't.
Time for everyone to wake up. This moment is more serious than many want to believe.
"The White House press secretary is not about doing online trolling," @K_JeanPierre says responding to Trump White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt's comments. "It is an honor and a privilege to have that job and to speak on behalf of the most powerful person in the world."
