Andrew Marr just spoke to a survivor of the Rotherham rape gangs.

1) She wants a new inquiry. She points out, correctly, that the Alexis Jay report did not specifically cover these rape gangs and that a full inquiry would cover ALL the towns where rape gangs operated and bring all those who were complicit in the abetting and cover-ups of the abuse to account.

2) She is very pleased that @elonmusk has raised the profile of this scandal.

3) She firmly believes that the reason that Keir and co do NOT want an inquiry is because of what it would reveal, given that most of the councils of the town where the abuse was taking place were Labour run.

You'd do well to listen to that on catch up @mrjamesob, @Keir_Starmer and @jessphillips.
