A poor young family pleaded with police and station staff to be let into Lime Street fearing being crushed. A lady in front of me was suffering from a panic attack. Someone else fainted in the crowd. For 3hrs there was no comms with people stuck outside Lime St Station

Most of the headlines are rightly taken up by what tragically unfolded in #Liverpool yesterday But the mis management of crowds by the authorities nearly resulted in a stampede. I was nearly crushed along with thousands of people inc babies because of zero communication by police

@indykaila Yes horrendous. Was caught in a near stampede getting crushed. Someone fainted, another lady suffered a panic attack. A poor young family next to me were begging the police to be let into the station with a young baby. So badly mismanaged
