Waiting for new armor:
Two platoons of 100 mm tanks from the 15th Mechanized Brigade of the π·π΄Army are training together. A battalion of 54 Abrams tanks will be delivered in 2026-2027, and there are talks with π°π· for a G2G deal for at least one battalion of K2 tanks in 2025
After the great news with the K9 SPGs here is another one. The Chiron MANPADS entered service with the 2nd Division Getica. Another important step for π·π΄π°π· cooperation

IT'S FINALLY OVER! Romania will buy three battalions of K9 SPGs. This will only increase the chances that π·π΄ will buy also the K2 tanks and Redback IFV from π°π·

1/7 (THREAD) Yesterday, CCTV7 published a report on the 300mm 12-tube PHL-03 truck-mounted long-range multiple rocket launcher in use by a π¨π³PLAGF 71st Group Army Brigade (probably 71st Artillery Bde) in the Eastern Theater Command. Let's take a look at what they trained...
Interesting insights ofπ·π΄ mid air-defence selection process:
- having more rockets matters (IRIS-8, KP-SAM 8, NASAMS 6, VL MICA 4)
- vertical and horizontal max ranges each matter (KP-SAM, IRIS, NASAMS, MICA)
- min ranges matter too (here hierarchy unclear)
- having both IR/RF matters (NASAMS MICA, KP-SAM, IRIS)
- price is 60% as important as all specs (IRIS, NASAMS MICA KP-SAM)
- who delivers 1st system fastest matters (here its a wildcard)
my conclusion: MICA is uncompetitive, KP-SAM good but uncompetitive Patriot-like multi-million missile price (which as a rule of thumb is 80% of a complete system's cost)
NASAMS and IRIS-T are the main competitors, if we exclude the rest we will see the duel clearly and IRIS will be slightly stronger in 3 technical departments and very importantly price, NASAMS will be very strong in 1 technical department.
While both are good selling systems, it is definitely a hard pick. It can go either way when we factor in delivery. I wouldn't be sad if NASAMS wins understandably but also IRIS-T is more potent overall and more economical which could mean more missiles. Both are good

Ultra-realistic Chinese underwater drone (fish).
We initially thought it could be fake, but it's a thing.
Developed by Chinese company Boya Gongdao, the bionic arowana fish has a battery autonomy of 6-8 hours.
China has developed a wide range of self-propelled anti-air gun (missile) systems ranging from 25 mm caliber to 76 mm caliber.
This is by no means a comprehensive list.
Some are adopted by the PLA and some are not chosen and now for export only.

China has made a 3D video showing how an invasion of Taiwan might look like. #Taiwan πΉπΌ
The PLA released a similar video a year ago!
This is a way for China to scare Taiwan into submission.
Unfortunately for China, it will have no effect at all.
This Russian S-400 battery is getting completely wiped out by ATACMS missiles. You can see the cluster ammunition covering the area. The loaded S-400 missiles almost immediately catch fire and explode in their distinctive fashion.
