"Most of my patients come and ask me how my family is and they say, “We’re sorry that this (intervention) has happened.” I tell them not to be sorry because we are actually happy that this has happened. Iranians are thinking that it doesn’t matter, even if I’m killed, I don’t mind as long as the next generation is going to be free and be able to live. Because, right now, there is no life. Everybody is a dead man walking.

For 15 years, I lived under Shah [Mohammad Reza Pahlavi], the father of the Crown Prince, [Reza Pahlavi]. As a four-year-old, I used to play in the streets at 9 o’clock at night. You can imagine how secure a country must be for you to be able to move from one city to another and every city is just as secure as the previous one and my father had to move a lot. This is how safe and happy people were. They had jobs. I mean, anybody who knows about Iran knows they had too many jobs, so they had to bring people from outside.

I want that again: It was prosperous, we had no inflation, it was a rich country.

Instead, everybody is trying to get out of that place because it’s so unsafe and there is no freedom. This is not a life. That’s why I said that, whatever happens, it cannot be worse than what it is right now. When you hit rock bottom, there is nowhere else to go but up."

بهشون میگم متاسف نباشید چون ما واقعاً خوشحالیم که این اتفاق افتاده.

ایرانی‌ها فکر می‌کنن اگر حتی من کشته بشم، مهم نیست اگر نسل بعدی آزاد باشه و بتونه زندگی کنه. چون الان زندگی وجود نداره. همه یه مرده متحرک هستن. ۱۵ سال زیر حکومت شاه [محمد رضا پهلوی]، پدر ولیعهد [رضا پهلوی]، زندگی کردم. در ۴ سالگی ساعت ۹ شب تو خیابون بازی می‌کردم. می‌تونید تصور کنید کشور چقدر امن بوده که می‌تونستی از یه شهر به شهر دیگه بری و هر شهر به همون اندازه امن بوده وقتی پدرم مجبور بود زیاد جابه‌جا بشه.
اینقدر مردم امن و شاد بودن، کار داشتن. یعنی هرکی ایران رو می‌شناسه می‌دونه کار زیاد بود، مجبور بودن آدم بیارن از خارج. من اون رو می‌خوام دوباره: کشوری پررونق بود، تورم نداشتیم، کشور ثروتمندی بود. به جای اون، همه دارن سعی می‌کنن از اونجا برن بیرون چون خیلی ناامنه و آزادی نیست. این زندگی نیست. به همین دلیله که می‌گم هر چی بشه بدتر از این نمیشه. وقتی به ته تهش رسیدی، دیگه جایی برای رفتن نیست جز بالا."

OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

Dear President Trump,

We respectfully urge you to support a clear, realistic, and historically grounded strategy for Iran—one that reflects both political reality and the genuine will of the Iranians.

Iran possesses a nationally recognized and unifying leader; Shah Reza Pahlavi, who is deeply rooted in Iran’s history and culture.

For the majority of Iranians, he represents continuity, legitimacy, and a commitment to the national interest.

Across Iran, despite severe repression, citizens openly risk their lives chanting his name. This support is organic and nationwide—it is neither manufactured nor the product of regime insiders, so-called reformists, or self-interested political factions.

History has shown that such groups have repeatedly failed Iranians, contributed instead to corruption, instability, regional insecurity, and the export of ideological extremism that ultimately threatens Western interests and civilization.

The cost of disregarding legitimate leadership is well documented. In Afghanistan, the exclusion of King Zahir Shah deprived the country of a unifying figure.
In Iraq and Libya, leaderless transitions following regime change resulted in prolonged instability, civil conflict, and geopolitical openings for adversarial powers, including Russia and China. Public resentment toward foreign intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan further undermined long-term U.S. strategic objectives.

Repeating these failed models in Iran would be catastrophic—not only for Iran, but for the Middle East and the Western civilization and interests.

Shah Reza Pahlavi stands apart from these failed paradigms. He is independent of the Islamic Republic, committed to secular democracy, and trusted by a broad majority of Iranians.

He has consistently advocated for a lawful transitional government grounded in Iran’s constitutional heritage, followed by a free and transparent referendum that returns the ultimate choice of governance to the people themselves.

We urge the United States to align its Iran policy with the reality and aspirations of a nation of over 80 million people.

Recognizing Shah Reza Pahlavi as the legitimate opposition offers a credible path toward stability, sovereignty, and peace—without repeating the costly mistakes of the past.

History also demonstrates the resolve of the Iranian people. They endured eight years of war and the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives to defend their country. Faced with the fate of becoming another Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, Syria, or Venezuela, Iranians will rise in unprecedented numbers to protect their nation and reclaim their future.

Just as the United States respected Japan’s historical continuity, to remain peaceful and stable, and to be a constructive global partner—so too can a policy grounded in legitimacy and national unity guide Iran toward a similar outcome.

A successful transition in Iran could also enhance your legacy as a promoter of global peace and freedom.
