Do you have to cover the cost of replanting after harvesting? Yes, the private owner bares the cost of replanting. However, keep in mind this tends to only be a fraction of what is made through harvesting.

Do animals need to be relocated for forestry grants? In agroforestry schemes animals can stay. For all other forestry schemes grazing isn’t allowed while premiums are being drawn down.

Restoring faith in forestry. Our episode with James Breslin last year stands out to us. In it he said “bureaucracy did a lot of damage to people inclined to do the right thing”. Real conversations are needed to help restore faith in forestry.  Let us know your thoughts!
