Farm kid behind A Farm Kid's Guide to Agriculture. Co-host @FarmKidPodcast & @AgBookClub. Farm things are here & professional me is at @_GraciePierson. 🌱🚜
What's coming up for #AgBookClub? Fair question. After 60 books (!!!), @FarmKidBlog and @farmoutloud are taking a bit of a break. No real plan just yet, but we'll check back in sometime this spring.
Love y'all — we'll see you around!
A1: Honestly? At first I thought it was going to be more agritourism based. Pumpkins plus “vintage” looking bus made me think that I guess, plus what I know about ornamental pumpkins in Illinois. #AgBookClub
@D_M_Kaminski I haven’t spent a lot of time in it yet, but I think you can search by book to find clubs who are or who have discussed it. Seems like a good way to find new communities!
Got your copy of The Growing Season? We're chatting all month long on Fable, and we'll be back for a Twitter chat on 1/24. See you over there? #AgBookClub#LinkInBio
We’re taking next Wednesday off, but we’ll kick off 2023 with The Growing Season! We’ll be back on Wednesday, January 4 to discuss the intro and chapters 1-5 (pages ix-60). Reading schedule and details here: https://t.co/AvbSbsjXGy. #AgBookClub
A5: Maybe 2 stars? It’s not that the stories were bad, but I found it really difficult to stay focused. I really liked the story second from the end, though - I expected more like that, I guess. Felt like the other authors were trying to fit their experiences into… #AgBookClub
A1: “Meme and Papa” (pronounced pawpaw) and “Grammy and Papa” (pronounced the way you’d expect). I already had a Grandma and Grandpa, which were our great-grandparents. #AgBookClub
Hi guys! Gracie, Illinois, and whatever assortment of cookies and candy (preferably caramel-based) is immediately available and within arm’s reach. #AgBookClub
A8: Honestly, I prefer standard chapters, but I do really appreciate good storytelling. Or at least a good story line. Something I can get invested in and want to keep reading. #AgBookClub
