Crazy how school taught us how to obey authority, memorize pointless information, and work for a paycheck…
But never taught us money, mental health, nutrition, or how to actually live
@OrevaZSN Just use the freaking cutting board and slice your apple. The world wants to freak out over every little thing. Stop being afraid of life and LIVE.
@ClarksonsFarm1 The original Chrysler Pacifica crossover (2004 to 2008). It rode like a Mercedes, had great gas mileage, and carried everything we needed. But what made this particular car special was that it went through a out of the blue shooting and carried my husband through cancer/chemo. ❤️
@Murk441 I was expecting snide comments like "a woman", but was pleasantly surprised by NOT seeing that. I concur with the others saying "a man" and "my husband." Well done, world! You've warmed my heart. ❤️
You get to write your own story, so do not make it a sad one. Whoever you are, however you think, wherever you’re going:
Please prepare a happy ending for yourself.
Activist: "Your cows are putting carbon into the atmosphere."
Farmer: "Where did they get it?"
Activist: "What?"
Farmer: "The carbon. Where did the cow get it before it put it anywhere."
Activist: "From... eating?"
Farmer: "From eating grass. And where did the grass get it."
Activist: "The soil?"
Farmer: "The air. The grass pulled it out of the air last spring. The cow ate the grass. The cow breathed some of it back out. It went back into the air it came from."
Activist: "But it's still going into the atmosphere."
Farmer: "It's going back. There's a difference between a thing going somewhere and a thing going back. You've described a circle and you're frightened of it."
Activist: "Then just don't have the cow."
Farmer: "The grass still dies in autumn. It rots where it falls. The carbon goes back into the air either way, just without anyone getting fed in the middle."
Activist: "It's not that simple."
Farmer: "It's grass, cow, breath, grass. Or it's grass, rot, air, grass. Same circle, fewer dinners. If that's complicated for you I'd stay away from the water cycle. That one's got clouds in it."
@Sinjin69602033@Kristinartz Those were 2 separate things when I was in school. Started the day in Home Room, then went to 1st period class from there. Study Hall was where you could go if you had an extra period without a class to do homework and study.
@elonmusk I agree to a point, but also disagree to a point. Introspection WITHOUT ACTION is a recipe for disaster. If you actually change the things you find faulty in your life, you will improve your life and be happier. Cause and effect. A concept we've lost in this world.
@MurrayHillGuy1 I’ll tell you my secret…
I just really really really love being a husband and father.
And although single people think they are giving up freedom for kids… what’s actually happening is you’re giving up thinking about yourself, for thinking about them.
That’s the secret.
First we were told that we should approve the lottery because that money would help fix our public education system and roads. Then we were told that we should raise the sales tax from 4% to 6% because we needed that money for education and to fix the roads. Then we were told that we should approve casino gambling because that money would you guessed it go to education and fix the roads. And then we raised the gas tax and vehicle registration to fix the roads. Then we were told that we should legalize marijuana and use that revenue for education and fixing the roads. And now after all of this and the fact that our education system is one of the worst in the nation and our roads are even worse than that. Our politicians have decided to raise our gas tax even more again to fix the roads. And now they want a state income tax. ENOUGH OF THE LIES AND BULL SHIT. When the Law doesn’t apply to the lawmakers you’re being ruled. When corrupt politicians start to go to jail, we can start trusting the government again. And If you enter politics with debt and leave a multi-millionaire, you didn’t serve the people – you looted them.
