@EversForgeworks Almost universally the case with our Down syndrome friends.
I think it’s just fundamentally clear that liberals hate them. They hate people who are mentally handicapped so much they’d rather kill them than let them live.
Pretty sad.
@DavidJHarrisJr Sorry, she invalidated all of her opinions by getting knocked up by Elon Musk outside of a committed relationship.
Her words are hollow going forward
@MrCasey62 Huh?
There's nothing wrong with doing any of these things.
The problem is doing these things to honor this woman-who is not Mary but a demon goddess that people follow. He's denouncing the subservience to idols.
@WellsJorda89710 True.
I just hate it that "black" or "white" has to be a part of this conversation. I don't care what your color is, you aren't justified in stabbing someone in this scenario.
And I think there ARE alot of scenarios where lethal self defense is acceptable. But when necessary.
@ant_911 Everyone suffers.
Funny thing is...Every down syndrome person I've ever known seems to be suffering less than any "normal" person I've ever known. They're always happy and kind it seems.
Seems to me the "suffering" they're talking about is THEIR selfish suffering.
@t_armstrong2011 As the late, great and now immortal Phil Robertson always said
"there's a 6 foot hole waiting for all of us. Might as well plan for it".
@libsoftiktok Everything Trump does must be hated.
Because he betrayed them by switching sides (on paper as a democrat turned republican). They can't handle betrayal in the same way Trump can't handle betrayal. (Probably because Trump really is still a lefty at heart, but he's transactional)
@DefiantLs Arguably true that he meant that.
Arguably true statement as well that some people would be that loyal to him.
And?
That doesn't mean everyone who supports him thinks that way. It just means that there are people who are either that loyal or stupid. Probably some of both.
@BethanyMcGrew@IAmGiGiIs@tomascol Correct, it isn't just about "exercising authority.
It's about exercising authority in opposition-in conflict-to the definition of the role as he just itemized, a husband of one wife. (hence the conflict illiciting the violence or domineering implication)
@BethanyMcGrew@tomascol Whether the word made your suggested transition or not by that time, both forms of the definition in the context of the scripture tell the story that a woman should not supplant a man in this role because it was woman that was deceived.
Discernment is critical as a teacher.
@BethanyMcGrew@IAmGiGiIs@tomascol I would argue that "special pleading" is what you're doing rather than simply reading the text and obeying what it says.
@BethanyMcGrew@tomascol One of the most critical aspects of an overseer is discernment and the fortitude to hold fast to what Scripture says regardless of how anyone feels about it. These factors-in my opinion- are where women I have seen in church leadership have always failed.
@BethanyMcGrew@tomascol The fruits of the spirit are Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control.
All of these are things you want to see in an overseer, but you can have all of these characteristics and still not be a good, proper leader/overseer.
