Another thing we can all do from our homes is support organizations that actively help farm animals that are in cruel living conditions such as that of @FarmSanctuary or those that spread nothing but love to these animals like @EverythingGoats.

You don't have to go out and physically free chickens from cages to be an activist for animal welfare what you can do is spread the word and look into what's really going on with brand names we so call "trust". We will always be surprised at what we find!

There is no single solution to the cruelty pledging industrial farms but we can start with changing our diet and lessening the high demand for these animals.

Many people say that the standards of industrial farms are improving but a gold cage is still a cage. We need to do more than just make better cages we need to start setting them free!

it's hard to say when all this injustice will stop or even if it will stop but we can make a difference and it starts with us. we need to change the way we look at the world around us and begin to question and realize our involvement with animal cruelty!

Another horrible practice is depicted in these two pictures the factories cut off the beak of newborn chickens!

According to C. J. Schmidt from the Department of Animal and Food Sciences, University of Delaware it is a normal practice for broilers to leave the lights on 24/7 to force the chickens to stay awake and continually eat and gain weight!

The weight gain has caused these chickens to fall apart in every sense of the word. They get so heavy that they struggle to stand. Their body’s physical can’t support the weight and many spent their lives in their own waste and even the carcasses of other chickens.

Here's a break down on the performance of broilers in the U.S. The title suggests that this is a good thing but the reality is that this isn't good for the chickens they are gaining weight faster with less feed.

Back in 2008, the United States Food and Drug Administration considered the chickens to be overweight when the chicken was around 2.5 pounds today they can reach up to 6 pounds!

The National Chicken Council found that today more than 42,213 million pounds of ready-to-cook chicken meat is produced in the United States!

Factory farming has become a new way of bringing up chickens. Humans have molded and changed chickens dramatically. From how quickly they grow to how often they lay their eggs. But just because we can don't mean we should! #AnimalRights

There are over 7 billion humans on earth but according to the FAO of the United Nations, there are well over 22 billion chickens around the world making up approximately 91 percent of the world’s poultry population. And yet we know so little about them!

Costco is STILL sourcing from Pleasant Valley Farms even after if this footage clearly shows it doesn't meet its welfare standards. Farmers confirmed it's footage from their farm & sued the activits for $331K! How can Costco still support? The public wants to know. #DxESanDiego

This is a prime example of what @FarmSanctuary is doing on the regular! if they aren't out actively saving animals they are spreading the word of animal welfare and the cruelty these animals face! Support @FarmSanctuary one of the few organisations doing what's right for animals!
