Water an Essential in Poultry Production Systems.
In birds or poultry, the sex of the animal affects its water intake. With males taking more water than females. The reason being the difference in adipose tissue proportions. @vargoe21@mapisaanesu
Females naturally have more adipose tissue than males. Males have more protein than adipose tissue and protein always has more water content than adipose tissue. To add on, the water intake in chickens can increase by ~5-7% for every degree above 210C within their environment.
