The two very different, but equally invested, birds who were following the combine up and down the field were the most interesting part to me.

It started with one big bird, then two, then the little ones joined. By the end there were at least 4 or 5 large birds and a small flock of little ones feasting on what the combine left behind.

The little birds are harder to identify and I'm not even sure I got it right. But as of now, I think they were Red-Rumped Swallows. These rascals get stuck in our house when we leave the door or windows open and are quite the adept hover-flyers (as you can somewhat see in the video).
