extensive heathland. Salisbury Plain is CHALK grassland, a different habitat altogether.

@emmie_cowie I have switched to sunflower hearts; creates the least waste of all the seed foods I've tried. I don't feed seeds at all from May to Aug; not good chick food; most need high protein high moisture insects. Seed fragments can choke them.I just provide fresh water.
