One day we will talk about how;
1. Our government has failed to get food for kids at school but got food for prisoners. How can we feed prisoners not students? And have audacity to ask some money from parents?
2. How the government manages to enforce laws and policies with a strong budget but its insufficient budget for schools and hospitals that need every year plan.
Wierd right??
This article is triggering: "Mugabowagahunde said the delayed return was linked to several factors, including inadequate parental follow-up of children’s education and upbringing, weak cooperation between parents, teachers and school authorities, as well as insufficient appreciation of the importance of education in some families."
Fact is, whether for private or public schools, EVERYTHING INCREASED:
🛑School fees increase almost every year
🛑School materials (REB releases an updated list of mandatory books for each subject EVERY YEAR... meaning a sibling/family can't even pass it on to the next generation. Also, each book has over 200pages that we have to print; the math is not mathing here)
🛑School bus (Of course we will blame Trump here)
🛑School lunch (In this economy, I will not even mention the quality)
🛑Some parents can not even afford to visit their kids in boarding schools on weekends or even monthly
And we are blaming parents for a number that high???
Kigali needs to learn that small businesses are the bedrocks of non-manufacturing nations.
Killing the night economy, now going after small shops will have negative consequences. The evil side is it can take years to notice, even longer to fix.
From the no open grazing, telling villagers what they can grow, heavy licensing and taxation, arbitrary business disruption and/or closure, disrupting international logistics at whim etc hmmm
The unnecessary prolonged and hash lockdown too.

This is not the kind of conversation we need among ourselves as Rwandans. We are one people who share a language, culture and history. Political disagreement should never become an excuse to label, insult, categorize or dehumanize another Rwandan.
Let me make my position clear: Patrick Rugaba is a Rwandan, just as I am. His political views, affiliations or criticisms are his own and are none of my business. I am not a politician or political critic. He gave me an opportunity to speak, asked me questions, listened respectfully, and did not impose a political agenda on our conversation.
Whoever chooses to interpret or use my story for their own political agenda does so without my permission. My experiences, struggles and statements should never be weaponized against the government, political opponents, individuals or anyone else.
We must learn to separate a person’s political position from their humanity. You do not have to agree with someone to respect them. Disagreement requires critical thinking, maturity and the ability to challenge ideas without attacking people.
I am Rwandan first. I will continue to see fellow Rwandans as my brothers and sisters regardless of where they stand politically. You do not build a nation through insults, hostility and division. You build it through respectful dialogue, accountability and the ability to disagree without dehumanizing one another.

Rwanda belongs to Rwandans. 🇷🇼
I took the national exam myself. The papers are delivered under tight security, with police present. So how can you release the results and only later claim widespread cheating?
Stop using excuses to justify arrests, evictions, and the destruction of families.
Rwandans deserve truth, justice, dignity, and accountability not fear and oppression.

all things considered i'm very relived that there aren't any reports of women being sent away or harrased cuz of clothing at the bk show,, somewhere someone got the message that this was unacceptable..
don't let up tho,, there is still a mountain to address.
