Need help!! Urgent Concern Regarding Max Hospital & Niva Bupa

My father, Dinesh Kumar Srivastava, is currently admitted to the ICU at Max Hospital, Patparganj (Delhi) since 14th August 2025.

On 14th August 2025, I deposited ₹75,000 as requested by Max Hospital. At the time of admission, I was informed by Max TPA that there is some conflict between Max Hospital and Niva Bupa (Max Bupa). On their suggestion, I first provided my ICICI Lombard office policy (₹3,50,000 limit), and was assured that once this amount was exhausted, I could use my Niva Bupa policy, under which my father has been covered for a long time.

Now, after my ICICI Lombard policy limit is nearly exhausted (due to ICU charges for the past 3 days), the hospital is refusing to initiate my Niva Bupa policy, citing their “internal dispute” with Niva Bupa.

This is extremely distressing.
I relied on my Niva Bupa policy, for which we have been paying hefty premiums. This is not a new case – my father was admitted on 14th August based on the hospital’s own advice to first use the office policy. If they had informed me earlier that they would not accept Niva Bupa, I would have chosen another hospital.

Now, with my father still in ICU, I am being left helpless because of an internal dispute between Max Hospital and Niva Bupa. Why should a patient’s life and family’s peace of mind suffer due to such conflicts?

I request immediate intervention and resolution from both Max Hospital management and Niva Bupa. If, God forbid, anything happens to my father due to this dispute, who will take responsibility?

I urge the concerned authorities, IRDAI, and consumer grievance cells to take strict action. Please resolve this matter at the earliest before it turns into a tragedy.

I have been to @MaxHealthcare , Noida Sec 128
and paid Rs 1,61,279 for a surgery and got these brutal experiences

1. An X ray which a locksmith would surly love with metal key not removed from chaste (attached the report)

2. They tried to do MRI of my unconscious 78 year old father in law with gold ring on his fingers at 12 AM midnight where as we were inpatient since 1 PM.

3. Morning Senior Director slammed me saying the patient was 'non cooperating' , so MRI was not done

4. Patient has chronic diabetes with 282 sugar level was not given medicine/ insulin the night before operation due to Hospital's negligence

5. When escalated this to authorities then the incharge along with a junior resident Dr personally threatened an unguarded 78 year old saying " You have many complaints so we will discharge you right away ." Medicines were immediately taken back by paramedics

6. Since morning I have been following up with Mr PD Shukla (Urology dept for report which I already paid ) but they are still non cooperating !!

The idea of post is to share what mis-happenings one can go through as patient / attendant in a reputed hospital chain !

I urge #AbhaySoi and @JPNadda to initiate long-term corrective measures to ensure such negligence in hospitals is never repeated.
